I saw someone else post recently about a similar issue: Her PT would only work off her computer USB port. Wouldn't work with an AC/USB adapter either. Have you tried it with a different AC/USB adapter?

Not sure if you are having the same problem in the car or not. Cigarette lighter sockets, if they have been used with a cigarette lighter, are notoriously bad at making proper contacts for powering equipment. Just too much crud in the socket from using the lighter. Can you get anything else to work off that same socket? You may find it needs a lot of working the device plug around in the lighter socket before you are making proper contact.

Its the power socket for accessories. Everything else works fine in it. The adapater even has the red working light on it.

I wrote Volcano and they I would have to buy their car charger adapter. Even though there advertisement for it says "vape using any available power source that has a USB connection; including your computer, wall charger, or your car charger!"

So waiting to hear back from them regarding there ad :)

I did find an old laptop that doesn't have a HD in it to take to my backyard so I can use this :)

I have several (cheap) USB adapters which won't work. The ones that do work are rated at 2 amps. PV's seem to require that little bit of additional amperage. The Volcano adapter will probably work or you can look elsewhere online.

I found one for $1.98 on Amazon which claimed to be 2 Amps but turned out to be 1.2 Amp and so of course did not work.

Eastmall has a good one for about $4 but there is $17 shipping so if you aren't into their equipment, look elsewhere.

I think your best bet is to go with the Volcano since it is probably rated properly and I assume they will accept returns if it doesn't work. There is likely nothing wrong with your car's lighter socket.

Avid Vaper has a $15 unit that works great for running a pass-through from a wall socket.

I hope this helps
