I'd love to find a comprehensive list on USB AC wall chargers. I know a bunch of dos and don'ts. I know you should use the wall charger that comes with a kit. I know cig-alike stick e-cigs should use lower mA units (150mA to 200mA). 500mA seems to be ideal for the eGo cigs. I'm accumulating several of these wall chargers and want to be more certain that I'm optimizing their use and avoid a screw-up.

Yesterday I received 5 AC wall chargers from fasttech that are 150mA.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1290901

The product description said they have a 1000mA draw. I'm sure they sent the wrong thing. I plan to keep them as spares to avoid the hassle of returning them. They ought to work fine for simple cell phones. Would they charge an eGo OK? I assume it would work, but take longer to charge.

Can anyone point me to a comprehensive chart or list that spells it out for a newbie? Any help would be appreciated.

500mAh at 5 Volts is Very Common. And should have enough Amps to charge Most USB devices in a Timely Fashion.

150mAh is going to work but is going to more than 3x Slower than at 500mAh. The Picture is hard to read but it looks like the ones you Got are Supposed to be 500mAh.

fasttech is Notorious for showing One Picture and sending something Else.

do you have pics of the units they sent you and the output plate?

the specs listed is usually the OUTPUT..what the device is capable of pushing...not the draw

5vdc at 500mA is the actual specs of USB v1.0...ALL USB powered can push that...its V2.0 or higher that can push more current and believe it or not USB is based upon data speeds...NOT power

Thanks. I bookmarked that page. My pictures are too blurry to make out the info. I'll have to borrow my daughter's camera. I studied the label carefully. It says 150mA on it. I own a dual USB 2.0amp that I bought off Amazon. I own a 1000mA I bought off MadVapes. I have several ones that say .2 amps that came with cell phones. I hope the USB.org website answers some of my questions. Thanks again.

You're right. FastTech did send the correct wall wart. I was reading the wrong line. My reading glasses weren't cutting it. Using a strong magnifying glass, I was able to read the output:

OUTPUT: DC 5V =500mA

My eyes kept locking onto the line above it that says 150mA. It sux getting old.

As Emily Litella used to say on SNL .... "never mind"

as long as we are on the subject. This is a simple question. I put my joytech egos on my joytech charger. I put my cheepie Fasttechs on the cheepie charger. I am getting a Vision spinner 1300 would it be OK on my 420mah joytech charger. Maybe a dumb question but my cheepie charger is getting not so relieable and is staring to concern me.

I can't recommend these more often or strongly enough. It's a Duracell two-port USB unit with built in protection.

Delivers 500ma to each port. I got it about two years ago at Office Depot and it's been a workhorse ever since.

The Spinner should be just fine on your reliable 420ma charger. Just match the battery's input requirements with the charger's output capability. As long as the output capability is equal to or less than the battery requirements, you're good.

And, less than is more Ok than equal to. A slow charge is a good charge.
