Use juices with nicotine is harmful for those who will do plastic surgery?

Since nicotine restricts blood vessles it can impair your healing process. I used to work for a plastic surgeon and we always advised people to quit smoking 2 weeks prior to surgery. Those who did not, usually had healing problems. I would quit if your doc told you to. So sorry, I know how very hard it is to quit totally.

Its something all doctors are taught to say and its true for the reasons stated. That said its only one of many risk factors. Back in the day everybody smoked before and after surgeries. I remember when I crashed my motorcycle my parents helped me hold a cigarette in my mouth in the surgical recovery room, lol. At the time smoking was so pervasive nobody questioned it. The nurse brought me an ashtray. Today doctors know better.
