Used to smoke 1 8 mg cigarette an hour...whats that in vapping
Just would like to know how much vaping I should be doing to keep up with my nicotine needs and not to just vape cause I'm loving it.....lol I find my self constantly vaping, like a child sucking on sweets. I vape in the car, in bed, in front of the telly, when going to get the post, waiting for my takeaway order an the local restuarant....am I over doing it? I have only had it 2 days.

My 5th Post....now waiting for my promotion :vapor:

I'm kinda curious about this as well. I used to smoke captain blacks cigars. They claim 1.2mg nic so per day it was around 10mg of nic.

But since getting my eRoll I'm probably vaping 4mls a day of 18mg juice. Not sure how this compares.

I've definitely been vaping a lot more frequently. I'm sure a lot of it is novelty and the ability to do it in places I never could before. And I gather it's coming for new vapers to do it a lot in the beginning.

But I also wonder if I'm not getting the nic I used too and am craving more. Perhaps I'm getting more. No idea.

Do the math :)

About 20 cigarets a day? Single one with 0.8 mg of nicotine. That means 16mg nicotine per day. If you vape liquid with 8mg/ml nicotine, that would be exactly 2ml of liquid per day. If you vape with fast drags, then the nicotine absorption is little lower so you can vape even more ;)

You can also mix different nicotine level eliquids to get what you desire.

It absorbs differently than ciggies anyway, use what you need. I find myself mindlessly vaping sometimes and need to remember to put it down once in a while, but if you are still wanting a cig use it, but remember you are gonna have to get used to it being a dirrerent feeling because your not getting the other compounds in smoke you don't want to overdo it.
Yes txaggie, that is what I have found as percentages...don't know if there's any other way to do the math but Al Gore might have a way. LOL

Keep in mind that you are vaping much more frequently then you smoked. The delivery of nic is much more even.
When you smoked, the nic was delivered like a number of large doses throughout the day. You went from spike to spike.
With vaping, you are getting a lot more, small doses and may need less nic overall.

Hi saja,

I'm pretty new to vaping as well, only been at it a few months now. I was worried about over doing it for the first few weeks. But what I have found is that your body tells you when you've had too much, and you'll just stop for a little bit. I would say vape however much you feel comfortable with, especially if it has kept you from smoking analogs.

There are too many variables in play to allow for any hard and fast rules that allow you to compare the nicotine from smoking to the nic from vaping.

The efficiency of your device is important in how much nicotine is delivered to the user.

The user's technique is also key. More experienced folks have adjusted their technique through trial and error. The length of the draw, the method of inhalation and the number of puffs are all different from person to person.

The absorption rate also varies from user to user because lung size, lung health and even blood chemistry can vary widely.

If you're getting a satisfactory experience with lots of vapor, good flavor and positive throat hit, then you're probably doing it right. And the great thing is, you'll be doing it even better in a week, a month and a year. You'll have better equipment and a refined technique.

Yes, it only gets better.
