I have a 60w SXK vapor flask it's pretty much the only mod i use now. It takes 2 18650's run in parallel.
I have lots of unpaired batteries that i used in my single battery mods. I don't want to pair them up in my flask but was thinking of using them as singles in it while my paired batterys are charging. Seems a shame to let them go to waste.

I'm pretty sure it would be ok to use a single battery in my flask as it's a parallel mod but thought I'd just check with you guys.

Series doubles voltage, and Parallel doubles amps right (2 20A batteries allow for 40A)? So in a parallel mod, wouldn't one battery just act normally?

Yeah this is what i was thinking so as long as i stay within the single batteries amp limit i should be fine i think.

I thought. So, with one battery, the same amps are there, the overall battery charge just depletes faster than when two batteries are present.

If I need to jumpstart the car, I get two batteries in series. If I want to vape all day while I push the car, then parallel. Looking at it imaginitively.

um

If you were a tootle puffer it would be like nothing to think about.

But yes, you'd just have to stay within the single battery's amp limit.
The single battery's amp limit would be for when the battery is brand new

Thats a good point.
I don't vape over 40 watts most of the time nearer 30 watts though and my unpaired batteries are 20a 2500mah so think i should be ok. If i ever notice a battery losing capacity i throw them out.

I have a different VF clone and I have run it with one battery very successfully. As has been said you need to make sure you don't exceed the amp rating of the single battery. 60 watts will draw around 22 amps max from one battery, so if you're running 20A batts I would limit the power to 50 watts. Atty resistance has no bearing on it when you're using a variable wattage device.

If you want to do your own calcs here is the battery drain page at Steam Engine. I use 3 volts for battery voltage as it can go that low under load when the battery is almost empty.
