I used to work at a photo laboratory many years ago and to preserve our developer chemicals we put 1 drop of alcohol into the opened bottle, waited for 10 seconds and then put the cap on. The reason behind this was that alcohol would spread over the surface of the contents of the bottle and immediately start to evaporate and rise to the top of the bottle, pushing out the air and oxygen.
Would this work for base liquids as well or is it a bad idea to add a drop of PGA to a clean PG/VG/nicotine solution? I wouldn't want the alcohol to speed up the nicotine oxidation process.
