Hi,

I have been experimenting with making menthol drops for use in my own mostly vg based e-liquid.

I basically got a bunch of menthol crystals, ground them into powder and dissolved them in grain alcohol, and ended up with a pretty saturated solution.

I started adding small amounts to my batches of e-liquid, maybe a drop for every dropper or two of juice. what i noticed is that at when the liquid got a little colder than room temp my liquid seemed to congeal a bit like gel. if i warmed up the liquid in my pocket for a while it would melt again. but the freezing temp is too close to room temp so it congeals a lot.

I tried diluting the drops with more alcohol, same thing. I tried just dropping a couple of crystals into the bottle but the result wasn't very mentholly. Yes, thats a word now.

I love menthol but i've switched back to regular flavors for now.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Or, if anyone has recipes they personally have made for menthol drops or menthol VG or mostly VG liquid, I'd love to hear about them!

Thanks,

g
