Using a tank on a HV mod? Is it leaking into the batteries? Solution, for me anyway.

My solution to my specific configuration (5ml tank, new XHaler) was to use a series of adapters. Using what I had available, Standard 510 connection, 510 > 801, 801 > 510. Effectively sealed the battery chamber.

Two problems with that:

The entire device is now 9" long, and instead of leaking into the chamber, which is mostly contained, it will leak out of the first adapter that is flooded. Coat your batteries or coat your pocket? hrmmm..heh.

As I mentioned in another thread, the leaking is significantly reduced by cleaning the tank with PG if assembled, or water then dried if the CE2 is removed first, and using the HV liquid from NHaler. Not a sales pitch, just a personal observation.

I have the smaller tank. The first night I got a little leakage when I picked it up in the morning. But after that things settled down and not a problem. Maybe everything needs to settle in or something. Also I am very carefull to apply pressure to top and bottom after refilling, so that everything is tight again after all the wiggling.

Oh, and as for the flavor:

If you get it new, or install a new CE2, after you fill the tank...prime it! It doesn't wick immediately. A few drops will make it gurgle, so either turn it upside down or add a few drops after filling it. A new, dry coil will turn itself and the wick black immediately. Save the flavor and prime it.

My tank ran out and I'm soaking the old CE2 to try and clean it....the new CE2 gave me the idea to prime it after the first puff failed to wick at my whim :p Priming on the second drag fixed it.
