Using Brasso (or similar) to clean mini catch cup

I think they were referring to the woodvils- mini and regular- they do have a brass catch cup...
I'm not so sure about putting something like Brasso on a nickle mini- you might find it takes the anodizing off.
Personally, I do nothing more than rinse these, or sometimes (rarely) put them in a bath in my sonic cleaner with alcohol.

I saw some other posts about using Brasso to clean the catch cup on a Woodvil. Would it be ok to use on a mini's catch cup that is stained? Yeah I've become quite fanatical about keeping my mini in tip-top shape

edit: it's a nickel mini. but i'm sure the catch cups are all the same material?

I too have one of the few nickel minis produced. I also have some corrosion around the 510 fitting on the bottom of the catch cup. I've tried cleaning it with a number of solvents but I think it is a failure of the nickel plating in that area. The rest of the unit still looks good but that area will not clean up for me. Wonder if any other nickel minis have the same problem. Since I noticed the problem many months ago it has not gotten any worse.
