Does it make any sense and is it even possible to use cartomizers on a reo? I have had lousy luck with 306 and 510 atomizers from all kinds of vendors but have been vaping fine on boge LR 2.0 ohm cartomizers, ego cartomizers and even the new double coil cartomizers. The unit cost is way lower and they seem to perform well for just as long as at least half of my 510 regular atomizers and they are usuyally 1/4 or even 1/5 the price per unit. I feel far less pain when i throw one out and i don't feel that tempted to try cleaning and re-wicking de-wicking flicking and splicking (or whatever is the latest advice on resurrecting attys.) It may be my juice preferences, my vaping style or my chronic over-dripping but the vapor, taste TH and consistency of good cartos has finally won me over.

I've had pretty good luck with ego style batteries but even with the cartos i find i need to top off so often that a way to carry the bottle inside a case and just squeeze seems so much more straightforward--and of course the logic of standard rechargables is impeccable.

so back to my question does it make sense to use a reo with cartomizers?
and how does the juice actually get up there? through the battery hole?

Cartos work great on all of the Reos. There's a multi-page thread on the subject somewhere around the Reo-forum.

Edit: Rhaps linked it. She's pretty handy around here. :thumb:

Juice goes up the center tube and soaks the batting material. Just squonk the bottle and gently draw on the carto for a second or two, but don't pull too hard or you'll get juice in your mouth.

You can fill a new carto directly from your Reo, drip in the top of it, or condom fill method. Let it sit juiced for several minutes before vaping so that you have juice at the coil. Scorched batting material is beyond yucky.

Over filling cartos causes the draw to get too tight. I hate when I do that.

Here are some pictures of the grand up close....the hole you are looking at is not the battery hole. It is where the juice is fed from a bottle through a tube, through the atty connector and into the atty or carto. Just squeeze the bottle.

I can speak from experience as I've done the carts, cartos, attys, CE2's, etc. etc.

I stopped using attys cause I just got tired of fiddling with them, cleaning, getting rid of primer, you name it. I went back to cartos and after getting back used to them, I use nothing else. I just got my Grand :) and it works perfect with cartos. Just squonk once or twice and suck on it a little (TWSS) without firing it and it's good to go.

I use cartos on it as there is really no mess or juice left in the reservoir that sometimes happens when using attys. I've used other juice feeders and after a day using attys there would be a good amount of residual juice just sitting there and I didn't like the idea of sucking that back up, however with a carto it really minimizes the amount of juice in the reservoir. Also if you have excess juice in there and lay it on the side it *could* potentially leak out but I don't really have that happen (so far) with using the cartos. Plus you don't have to squonk it every 4 or 5 hits like you do when using an atty, especially a LR one. I also agree with the above about being cheaper and I don't feel quite as bad throwing out a carto when it gets a little off vs. having to go through trying to clean and revive attys.

I am no expert (been vaping since July) and just got my Grand this past Wednesday but I can say using the Boge 2.0 Ohm cartos really works for me but to each their own.

Just my 2c and hope it helps somewhat.

Take care and Vape On

Does anyone know where you can buy Boge 2.0 ohm cartos in bulk at cheap prices? For example, greentree has 1.5's cheap, but I would like to find some 2.0's to go with a Reo. I'm not in a hurry for shipping (i.e. read direct from China) as these are for my son in the Army. Thanks.

I haven't ordered directly from them, but you can probably get large quantities for less than $1.00 per carto by ordering directly from BogeTech. Here's a link.

Please tell your son I said thank you for his service.

Thanks for the link, and I will mention it to him. He likes hearing that and is surprised he hears it so often...

Unliess it's new a kind of dual coil carto that I'm not aware of, it sounds like the description has it backwards. I have been using dual coil cartos from COV and from mad vapes for a few weeks now and have been very satisfied. The ones I purchased most recently have the description "Dual 3.2 ohm coils in parallel giving a total resistance of approximately 1.6 ohms." So, they act like LR cartos.

I love em. They're using a new filler material as well that, in my experience, has all but eliminated that stale fillter taste you get with the standard fillter material. In fact, I had pretty much given up on cartos untl I found the dual coils and I've been using them almost exclusively with my Reo Mini for over a month now. I got my last purchase from COV, here's the link, Dual Coil Mega Cartomizers Steel

Thank you! It must have been a typo, now it makes sense. I couldn't figure out how on earth (2) 1.6 ohm coils could end up being 3.2 ohms. Whew... :)
