Hi, I'm new here.

My story is different because I'm starting eCigs after being three months off cigs. I have weaned myself off of the nicotine gum, lozenges, and mints. I've quit numerous times, but the three month mark is a problem for me. I always gone back to smoking at three months for some reason, so I'm hoping ecigs are the answer to staying smoke free.

I've gone the Halo route and have purchased the G6 and the Triton. I hope to stay with them and not go too crazy, but I ordered juice from Virgin Vapor but ordered a possible tank cracker. So I'm already looking at going another route and I haven't even got my equipment yet. This is not a good sign.

FWIW, it seems none of the regular stuff in Alice in Vapeland will crack a tank, even though some of them have citrus flavors:

https://vapeland.org/more/faq/#tankcracking

That won't help you immediately, as they only open once a week and can take up to ten days to ship your order, but just thought I'd put that on the table. Point is, however, that apparently not all citrus flavors will crack a tank.

Has Virgin Vapors confirmed that what you ordered might crack a tank?

I could not quit smoking and I tried for years and even facing almost death did not stop me. With Vaping I no longer smoke and in the 3 months I have not had a cigarette I do not miss them I like I did on the patch, Centrex and other things like the gum and lozenge. Keep going at it. I have never been able to string 3 months together and I now have. I think I found what will work for me hope it does for you.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I see myself acquiring many 'rigs' although that was not my original intention. This reminds me of the time I visited an audiophile forum for a simple headphone recommendations; I will not tell you how much I have spent since then. So yeah, I can see myself going off the deep end. LOL

Thanks RedNBlack. Quitting cigs has been a challenge for me. I've smoked since 1985 and have quit 50-100 times. I tried eCigs when they first came to the states, because wasn't not impressed. The technology has come a long way obviously (I have a friend who does it) and I'm very excited about it now. I also liked clove and flavored cigarettes, so this is a win-win thing for me.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check them out.

I'm just sent Virgin Vapors and email. The one I ordered was Orange Creamsicle. I could always put it in a mini-tank and see what happens. I live dangerously I guess.

Jeff, funny you mentioned the Kanger. That is exactly the one I'm looking at. I have to resist - I must resist! At least at the moment. LOL.

It has been very frustrating seeing all my smoker friends quit. They struggle with it, but my experience seems to be on a different level so I feel you. I'm not facing a serious medical condition, but I could see myself in that situation. I can't blame it on chemicals because I've quit cold turkey for three months too. In all my journeys, I've come to the conclusion I just like to smoke. Thanks for sharing your story.

Wecome to the club. I've been vaping for a little over 3 weeks and have had at least 6-7 deliveries of vape mail. I have tanks, juices, attys, cartos, and today I received a new mod (MVP V2) to supplement my Egos, which I started with. And, to top if off, have been cig free for 5 days...looking forward to many more. Stick with the forum. It's a great place with positive people who are more than willing to answer any questions you have and to help you remain smokeless.:)

Hehehe. This place should come with a warning. Seriously.

This reminds me of the time I joined an audiophile forum for a simple headphone recommendation. I will not tell you much money I have spent on equipment to this day. At least this is a cheaper hobby.

While you're waiting on your vapemail........you might want to check out a few e juice sites that sell samples, you know, check out a few different flavors (Moon Mountain, Seduce Juice, Alice in Vapeland), maybe eyeball that Kanger Pro Tank 2 some more, it's sooooo pretty!
So many flavors, so little time!!!!!!
And.........Welcome to the FORUM!!!!!!;)

:toast: Congratulations on the 5 day quit. The first week is so hard and your over that three day hurdle. I'm telling you, its something about the number 3 with me. LOL

I wish I would have selected eCigs instead of the Nicotine gum. That stuff is sooo expensive!!!! I was a two-pack a day smoker and went through the stuff quickly. During one quit, I was looking at a possible gum addiction. I thought it would never happen to me, but it almost did.

One thing I like about this forum is because of the good vibes I get from the users. Internet forums can be so "unproductive" for a lack of a better word.

Thanks for the support. We're all in this together! :)

Had the same kind of experience. I could readily suck it up and quit for a week, two weeks, a month… The nicotine is supposedly out of your system by then, but the mind still plays tricks on you and draws you back in.

I resigned myself to being a lifelong smoker. Then I tried my first e-cigarette and knew there was a better way.
