I've somehow ended up with 5 short version ego c twists (and two chargers). I use this device and only have used this device with Kanger t3 clearomizers (Bottom coil atty). I vape very frequently throughout each day, I would guess I vape more than most. on some of my heavier days I drain through 3 of my ego twist batteries. As far as the ego twist it works every time, is reliable, and adjusting the voltage is easy.
The Kanger t3's are built well, I can order my preference of 2.5ohm replacement atomizers.. set it to 4.4V or a little above, use my ADV, get great hits. Taste is good and vape isn't too warm. I can get 3 weeks solid out of each atomizer head. Doing things this way has completely kept me analog smoke free for many many months. It works and its fun.

I have the money for the provari but I am not sure if I can justify the purchase. Hoping some of you have tried both the ego twist and provari can chime in here.

I like the idea of longer usage in between charges with the provari. I like that it provides consistent voltage without a 'drop off' as the battery loses charge. Having a screen is nice also compared to my ego twist now.

I would start out using a pro tank 2 and my first dual coil Innokin iClear 30 with the provari. Am I going to notice huge differences between my old vape setup and the new with the provari? Better taste/bigger clouds? is it really worth the $200+?

I do not own a Provari but, I am sure that many fans will chime in to tell you that it is worth the $200 price tag.

I do own a Vamo and a SVD. I got both for around $30, they are VW as well as VV, use the 18650 battery and will last all day. I like them both and never felt the need ro spend $200 on a mod. Of course, this is just my opinion. Others will differ, I feel sure.

Good luck and congrats on being cig free!

BTW- the Vamo and the SVD have 5 amp limits. The Provari is limited to 3 amps. That will not matter to some but, it does to me :)

Personally I wouldn't get a provari since I rarely use my apv besides for a resistance checker. Besides that once you start buying it might not stop like allot of us... I prefer mech mods now but that's just me.

If your current setup works I don't see a reason to upgrade since the improvement if any would be minimal if you are just going to be using clearos. You could always get a bigger twist for longer battery life.

I can relate with you all, I used an ego twist with mainly evods until yesterday, I just got my Provari zombie edition! but around the middle part of september I ordered the SVD from fasttech, it sat in hong kong for 3 weeks without moving. I came into some xtra $$ and ordered the provari and decided I would use the SVD as a back-up and to test out coils when I start trying to build them myself. I still haven't got the SVD but it is now in the states and I should have it Tuesday, It took exactly a month to get it. I really like the Provari , its build is great and it's built to last. They also repair them after the warrenty for really cheap. They had a version 2 , when they started selling v 2.5 , the v 2 owners could send theirs in and get them upgraded for $20. If you can afford it I would go for the Provari, once you have it , you KNOW there isn't anything else out there better, until you have it you will always wonder....

I started with a Steam mod and it tanked on me within 24 hours. I took it back and paid the difference for a Provari. I couldn't be happier. It works great and it looks good. I use a X8 carto tank and get good vape and flavor. I wish I could be more help but I just wanted to recommend the Provari if you are thinking about it.

I look at vaping as a tool, not a status symbol. what works for you? If it were me, and i was vaping way more than I felt I should be, I would be more likely to try upping my nic level before I put out 200$ on another device. then again, I think people that chase "status" are kinda whacky (this from one who has family living off of family for many many years, buying all the perks without taking care of the necessities....so my perspective could be crazy though YMMV)

Well, the way I see it, you have to budget for a Provari. You could buy the Provari, which has a one year warranty, with an upgrade to twop years option. Aside from that, it's built like a tank.

Another option, take that budget, Buy an inexpensive Mech like a Magneto or Galileo, and a low priced regulated mod like a SiD or a VAMO. That would take up at most half of that budget. You could spend the rest on batteries, charger, an RDA, a protank, a genesis RBA, and a carto tank. You could then get a feel for the entire spectrum of possibilities. If, at a later time, you still want a Provari, and have the funds again, you could get one knowing that you had really tried the field out and decided that was the direction you wanted to go for a high-end mod.

You should consider an eGo or Kgo variable voltage battery with LCD and pass through. The eGo and Kgo are available at up to 1200 MAH and the passthrough feature will allow you to vape while it charges. I have used a Kgo with an RSST at 10 watts with no problems, I normally use it with an Evod though.

That being said my at home devices are a SID and a Vamo which I have been very happy with.
