So I just got 6 bottles of juice in the mail and probably 4-6 more coming. I'm running low on the stuff I have been using and I'm not really big on steeping in general...I completely lack the patience. Someone at a local b+m suggested I used a crock pot to speed steep my juice. If I did that the wife would have my head but I was thinking about heating up some water and setting my juices down in the bowl. Would this work? Tops on or off? Will the hot water degrade the nicotine?

Caps off would probability be best, put them back on and shake vigorously after the water gets to room temp. Heat can degrade nicotine but the method you plan to use won't hurt. I like to microwave new 15 ml glass bottles for 3 sec with the cap and dropper out, recap and shake like it's my job. Keep shaking it until it cools down., probably 3-5 min. I wouldn't nuke plastic bottles.

Guy at the local vape shop keeps duct tape in his car. Tapes new bottles in front of the heater vents and turns on the heat (don't believe he sets the heat to the highest temp. There are a lot, of ways to steep juice, choose the method, that works best for you. Nothing replaces good 'ole fashioned time and shaking.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did a test run with 3 of the flavors I got, nuked the water for about 5 min. Shook the hell out of the bottles pre and post bath. I didn;t keep the caps off though (that patience thing, didn't see your message when I did it.) Rinse and repeated. The 50/50 blend still has a bit of strangeness to the flavor, so I might have to do it a few times. The max vg (sweet blue, and banana berry dream) turned out pretty good. The blueberry one still has some sharpness to it, but the banana berry dream is really good on my .3 parallel plume build. I'll probably hit those one or two more times and let the rest of the flavors rest for a bit. Thanks for the help.

Yep...heat helps blend the juices.

150 is the optimum temp according to a rather extensive set of threads in here somewhere...and some say 4 hours is optimal. However I've noticed once your liquid is warmed (even under hot running tap water) all you need to do is shake the heck out of it until it cools and you're pretty much done for most liquids.

After trying heat, bottle cap off, etc the best way I have found is to put the bottle in a dark cool spot for a few weeks to a month. My grants vanilla custard supply now is to a place that bottles sit for a month in a box for a good month before they are taken out. Once out they go into a dark glass bottle that limits the exposure to sunlight.

Once over-steeped you can't go back.... Test out what works best for you.

I'm also super impatient so I tried the crockpot but it totally backfired when all the labels came off.. Oops

That thought had occurred to me. It's been almost a week since the delivery, and I still got some old juices, or stuff that didnt absolutely require steeping to work though, so I'm gonna give everything a nice hot bath tomorrow for a bit and then start moving through them on monday onwards. Looking forward to Turkey day and just sitting down and vaping and eating.

I wanted to rush steep my cereal killa, it's 10/90 pg/vg and I did the hot water bath with the lid and dropper out. The first time I did this, the label started to peel off the glass bottle. So I placed the bottle in an open zip lock bag so the water wasn't able to touch the label. Just be careful when you put the bottle inside the zip lock (I think saran wrap would be fine too) so that the water level isn't so high that it gets into the bag or your open bottle of juice. Hopefully this makes sense. Maybe I'll do a photo thread later of how I did this :)
