using lemon juice to flavor juice?

Im a big DIY vaper and recently had a chance to try lemon Ice from FSUSA, it got me thinking, could I use a small amount of pure lemon juice (squeezed and filtered) to flavor my mix? Im taking about 1ml per 30ml bottle. I know that many grocery store flavorings have lemon oil in them so I thought this would be a safer alternative. Any thoughts?

I don't know about the chemistry, but it sounds like a delicious idea. Why not try it?

Lemon juice turns bad if not refrigerated once the bottle is open. It may turn your juice bad in a few days.

Well my idea is a PG/VG blend with a touch of PGA, some diluted menthol crystals and a squeeze of lemon (%1), the sweetness of the PG and sharpness of the menthol should go great with the sting of lemon juice. cant be that bad.

Back in the Seventies there was a brand of cigs with a lemon-menthol flavor. I thought they were pretty good, but apparently not enough customers agreed because they disappeared from the stores.

I'd like to try lime-spearmint with some bavarian cream.

Lemon Twist! (I remember smoking one when I was 10 - yikes!)

A great lemon flavoring is the water soluble Sicily Lemon from FlavourArt.

Well, I mixed up a 3ml sampler @ %20 flavoring and ... Nothing. The only thing i could taste was the menthol, the lemon juice added zero flavor. Might have to try some of that sicily lemon.

I wasn't referring to the lemon flavorings, but rather the actual lemon juice that neon first asked about. There is a difference.

I decided to change it to 1 part menthol to 3 parts lemon (at 13% total flavor), I haven't tried it yet, but I do smell the lemon. FA flavors seems to need a day or two. I'll let you know if it's any good.

Here's the recipe (and it was good less than 24 hrs. after mixed)..

Lemon Twist 1974
15 ml

7.5 ml PG (I used 36 mg base)
5.5 ml VG
1.5 ml Lemon Sicily (water soluble) (FlavourArt)
.5 ml *menthol concentrate

*concentrate was made from near equal parts menthol crystals and PG (dissolved crystals in PG)
