I didn tread this whole thread I didnt have the time, But to comment on a few points. You gain weight when your nicotine is lower because nicotine produces more blood sugar without food. So you end up eating more food or diff types of food to compensate, and food is slower intake, so you end up over eating it to get the same effect.

and about overdosing on vaping as opposed to smoking. do you think that statement is true, puff by puff. I mean could a reason of overdosing on vaping be due to the fact that your cigarette is never really done? U could end up taking 50 puffs at once shot, where as a cigarette ur intake is more manageable because u know when the cigarette is finished? and also. do you think there is a difference between artificial nicotine in patches etc, compared to nicotine from tobacco?

I think the more I read these threads and the possibility of OD'ing with e-smoking the more confused I am by the whole issue....if I ever tried to smoke a tobacco cigarette 'really' fast I would go very light headed and nearly pass out (I assume that is OD'ing) .......and yet at the same time I could literally chain smoke the strongest cigarette's all day long seemingly without 'any' chance of OD'ing.....is it something to do with the 'speed' of getting nicotine into the system that causes the OD??

i'm sorry to bump this thread, but i was researching something and found it. [Although it doesn't cover what i'm after.]

Anecdotally, i am sure i get the same effect from vaping 36mg liquid as i used to smoking American pipe tobacco. It's exactly the same hit and i find it very pleasant. i stopped smoking a pipe despite enjoying it more than any other delivery system, because i felt sure i was doing myself untold damage. i smoke a pipe like a hippy smokes a ....... Perhaps because i was a hippy who smoked a ......, back in the day.

i didn't get the same effect from my rollup habit which had a stronger dizzying effect and have no idea if loose tobacco products here in England contain the same additives as pre made cigarettes. i also used the lightest papers which you can see thru to cut down on additives. So currently i don't appear to be having noticeable withdrawals, tho i'm painfully aware that it is still early days for me.

As i say, just anecdotal, but i'm happy to discover i prefer vaping to smoking because of the hit from the nicotine.

Oh! And further my appetite has diminished, i had assumed because of the increased blood sugar effect from nicotine, which is a bonus as i have recently started medication that made me hungry.

Now i just need to win the lottery and my day is complete.:)
