Using low resistance drip atomizers on an Ego

I am new to this and ordered some drip atomizers so that I could test, a drip or two at a time, when I mix my own juice. I have a 2.4ohm single-coil and a 1.0ohm double-coil atomizer on order from fasttech. I was told in the newbie members section though that I can't use the 1.0 ohm on an Ego - even if it is an Ego twist. Is that correct? Not even for just a quick tap?

Ego is "regulated"... possibly "amp limited"... meaning it will not function (or cause malfunction) if you go too low.
I'd stick with conventional resistances... with 1.5 Ohms the lowest.
Sounds like you got a dripping atomizer.. RDA (rebuilable?) from FT.

You may build your own coils if that is the case... i'd aim for 1.3 Ohms minimum to be safe.

Not an expert so look for someone more knowledgeable to post.

Yeah. You nailed it. Here is a link to it. It looked simple enough and I wanted something inexpensive and small to play with rebuilding with eventually. When I look at the vaping power chart that someone sent me, it looks like if I rebuild it to to 3ohms, the Ego Twist will allow for coverage over the whole "sweet spot" from just into the "too cool" to just before the "too hot". So that is kinda where I am headed with a rebuild plan.

I've used egos with dripping atties at 1.4 ohms and works great, just rebuild the 1 ohm and you'll be fine
