Well if they are protected and you try to over drain them the protection circuit will kick in and shut them down. I don't think it's dangerous as long as they are protected but they will be a bit long with the protection circuit and the cap won't go on all the way. Is this the TrustFire Protected 18650 Battery, 2400 mah you have? if so it's protected..I've heard mixed results with some saying the protection kicks in others saying it works ok.
