I have a DNA30 box mod which I regularly use when I'm by my PC (which is most of the day at work/home) and I generally charge my boxmod through the USB port. My battery (Sony VTC4) can do approximately 500 cycles I believe but since my boxmod is regulated and prevents overcharging, would it be better for my battery if I just leave it plugged in most of the time? I go out often enough that my battery definitely gets used but I'm wondering what about during the day when I'm by my PC anyways.

Thoughts?

USB ports dont put out enough power to vape off it. So every time you hit the fire button, the battery gets discharged and then the usb port charges it back up.

If you vape all day, and you have it plugged in charging at the same time, then battery will get hotter faster, wear out more, and shorten its life.

Fully charge it, unplug it, use the mod box till the battery is dead or low, plug it back in and let it charge over night with being disturbed.

All good points KGB7, but I don't leave batteries plugged in overnight. There is a small chance the charger will not stop charging and that can cause a fire with people asleep in the house. I pull the plug on all of mine. Laptop, phones, cameras, nothing stays plugged in overnight.
