I'm a new user (a little over a month). It's great that I've been able to make the transition from analogs (after 40+ years), but I'm having problems now that jeopardizing my continued vaping..

I have copd. As I said, I'm doing well with the ecigs, but I can't breathe! What I mean by that is my breathing is worse now than it was on the analogs a month ago. From what I've read researching these boards, I need to use a low-vg-content juice. I tried some 100% pg juice, but it produced no vapor at all on my rig (a KR808D1).

I added a few drops of 'regular' juice to the carto, and got some thin vapor that's barely satisfying. Are there any tips people can give me on using a low-vg content juice (like a 80/20 mix)? What do I need to do to produce a better hit off a low-vg juice? Any particular flavors that work better? Change my rig? Please note - I have an office 9-5 kind of day, so I can't be using tanks and other setups that stray very far from an analog-type style.
Any experienced input I can get would be very much appreciated.

Some people have a problem with PG , not VG . Maybe you should try a higher % VG juice , and see what that does for you .
There are even several vendors that sell 100 5 VG . COV (clouds of vapor ) comes to mind , as the owner is allergic to PG .
Good luck .........

I can't use high VG juice but I think I'm in the minority.

If vapor production is the problem, upgrade your rig.

A couple of my favorite juices are 100%pg, and I get decent vapor out of a 3.7v mod with a 1.5ohm atty.

Simplest rig I know that tends to deliver, well and consistently, would be ego battery with dual coil cartomizers. Not cig-like, but small-ish, convenient, and discreet.

Best,
Ande

How are you feeling since using the PG? Did you get the juice from Vapor Bomb? I have some of their all PG juice and get vapor. Not as much as the 80/20 but some.

I get lots of vapor from the PG juice I get from nhaler, but maybe his juice is too strong for you- it's 24.

Yes, I got the juice from VaporBomb at your suggestion, swedishfish - thank you. It seems that the thickness of the high-vg-content vapor is what's giving me the problems; when I use the 100% pg + some regular juice for just a few hours, I can tell the difference in how my lungs feel.
Maybe I should get some juice from nhaler??

Ande, I'm going to look into changing my rig, as you suggest; thanks. I thought I had hit the right combination after trying the 7-11 nJoys, and then a different style, and finally the KR808d1. Now the type of juice I need to use is going to make me change again. What's that they say about we make plans, and the gods laugh?

Thanks, swedishfish. To be honest, I'm kind of amazed at how well I'm doing after my earlier half-assed attempts.
I'm still mainly using tobacco-flavored juices, and a few mildly flavored ones like RY4. The companies whose juices I've bought are myvaporstore.com, madvapes, phantom vapors, and now vapor bomb.
I'm still experimenting and haven't found a company or flavor that knocks my socks off, although the one I've found myself drawn to the most is Dekang USA Mix from Mad Vapes. All of them are 11 or 12 mg nicotine.

Many people have reactions from mild to moderate variety from PG juices and I am one of those people. I vape VG only. Vapor production is MUCH better, but throat hit and flavor can be compromised with an all VG blend (but higher nicotine content can remedy the throat hit issue). I make all my own liquids and the only time PG enters my bottles is when it is an ingredient in a flavor concentrate that I'm using. Keep on vaping, you'll find what works for you in due time. Good luck!!!

I have been vaping for 2 weeks and I found rather quickly the higher VG juice brings on a very heavy lung feel as though I just smoked an analog, I too am very early copd. I even started having a coughing fit. So no VG heavy juice for me. I find venders that let me pick the PG/VG ratio and keep the VG VERY low and it works very well. I love The Vapor room juices a bunch!! My favs are Keoke coffee & Hazlenut. I have found after vaping for about 3 days, I was no longer using a rescue inhaler and still have not needed it, that is pretty motivating, and I am feeling so much better each day. I might note I had to go up to a 24mg Nic juice to be able to leave the cigs alone, I am noticing now that the craving for an analog have almost completely gone away and I am starting to vape less often. I was a 3 pad smoker and smoked for almost 30 yrs.

This is really encouraging to hear. I'm going to try your supplier's juice. I've been using 11 or 12mg nic juice (varies by supplier), and have had good results regarding cravings. I'd rather not go up to 24 if I don't have to. Are you saying that you vape less often when you went up to 24mg?

And thanks again to everyone for their input.
