it really depends on your liking of heat and flavor requirements i would suggest you start at like 15 watts try it and bump it up little by little till you get where you seem to like it.

That's exactly how I do it. Start low and work up. Much less chance of burning the wick on the first hit and it allows the juice to start flowing

15-25 is definitely the prime range for the STM. It doesn't do well running .5 coils much above that, even if you can get away with running them at 30-40W on other devices.

When breaking in a new coil I'd usually take a couple puffs at like 13W, with no vapor production, then move up 3-4 watts one puff at a time, into the low 20s. 22-25W is almost always where I ended up being comfortable.

I just picked up the subtank mini by Kangertech. With 0.5ohm coil VOCC heads.

What are the best settings for the evic vtc mini? VW (power) mode.. somewhere between 15 and 25 w?

Please let me know!

Or should I get the 1.2 ohm?

With the vertical coils I start at about 25w when new and get up to 40w. Flavor is ok at 25w but 40w really makes it shine.

The 1.2 is an ok coil. The .5 is netter IMHO.

Pretty much mirroring what I was saying. I think the vertical 0.5 ohm coils are some of the best bar none. Great wicking. Easy priming. Good flavor. You really can't as for more unless you start making sacrifices.

I also believe the new .5 vertical coils are some of the best. Like many here, I've gone through a lot of different sub tanks and so far I believe these redesigned coils are the best for flavor (under 50 watts).

My preferred setting is 33 watts. I get about 5 solid days of good performance at that setting. Of course I start at about 23 watts and "walk them up" to 33 watts.
