I own a Volcano, a Iolite ( beta version ), a Purple Days ( This IMO is by far the best vaporizer for herb on the planet, efficiency is mind blowing ), and a silver surfer vaporizer.

If you are interested in learning about vapes for weed usage visit this forum, it has all the info you could ever need, and then more. www.****combustion.com

JamesD-you might want to do further research before getting I-inhale. I have read posts where the user said that the vapor contained butane and was to hot.

Haven't tasted the butane, the vapor can be very hot, but if you use the extended mouthpiece and the vapor condenser it is just ok, this pieces came with the I-Inahle/Iolite, it takes a little period of time to get used to it, but if you have the patience you can make your way to REALLY enjoy this device.

You can use it not just with regular tobacco, but you can use a lot of herb combinations and tastes, shisha tobacco is full of flavor, pipe tobacco tastes very good, so the posibilities are unlimited, you can even use jam mixed with tobacco! you can even use it with alcohol!

Would someone please tell me how to use the I-Inhale with alcohol? Do I need to use cotton wool or something like that? how much alcohol needs to be used?

Wow! Just got my I-Inhale (Iolite). Head buzzing off ONE drip of Janty Virginia. It's a little different from my Kissbox, but dad-gummit, it's good. I don't have to draw hard at all to get an incredible throat hit. Good amount of vapor and better taste, too. Wonder how it will be with 0-nic.

Like others here, I had a hard time with the butane fill. That will be a technique thing, I think.

I will post later when I know how it will hold up over the longterm. That's how it always is with the various e-cig product, too, I know.

So far, though, I think this, combined with 0-nic, could be the solution to FDA/HC bans... me likee!

I own all of these and yes they can be used with leaf or juice, cuz I tried it. Best one overall imho is the VapBong.

1: I-Inhale (now called iOlite) $250. www.gotvape.com/store/portable.vaporizers.php
2: Vapir Oxygen Portable Vaporizer $130. www.gotvape.com/store/portable.vaporizers.php
3: VaporGenie $65.00 www.vaporgenie.com
4: VapBong Portable Vaporizer $50.00 www.vapbong.com
5: Vapolution Portable Vaporizer $25.00 www.vapolution.com
6: Dominizer $20.00 www.dominizer.com
7: HugeGrins $20.00 www.hugegrins.com
8: Ubie $25.00 www.vaporizergiant.com/ubie.html

A vaporizer is nothing more than a heating unit and a means of transporting the vapor I suppose.

These machines or a home built one would be the solution if battery operated PVDs that look like cigarettes are banned.

My thoughts exactly Ramblin, and if they ban e-juice, well vaping tobacco leaf is much safer than burning it, they say. After all they're all marketed with the tobacco smoker in mind.

Where did you buy your vapbong? Direct?

What about the $20 to $25 dollar ones? Which would you choose?

Yes I bought the VapBong from the listed website, arrived quickly. I suppose I should do a review of each one, when I get the time. I'm seriously considering ordering that VM3 unit, after reading up it seems like it may be the best of all (besides e-cigs) if ya can afford the $500. Although the Next Safety device looks promising, can't find any proposed pricing, they're going to test market overseas they claim.
The Ubie is a very small glass device, you'll burn your eye out !
HugeGrins is stainless steel, nicely made but very small & hard to use too, you'll burn your lips off.
Dominizer is bigger but clumsy and will fall apart easily, you'll burn your house down.
Vapolution is larger glass device & not easy to use & looks illegal, you'll be arrested if you leave home with it.
VapBong is also fragile, but has a nice carry case, easy to use & clean, learning curve to get the heat right but vapes very well.
All devices using a lighter recommend using a torch lighter, ya know the welding flame kind, to keep from getting black soot all over the glass.
I want to try that VM3, they claim a former heavy cigarette smoker should get 3 days use from one battery charge vaping either leaf or juice !

If u get the vm3,I'd love to see what u think of it vs.the I-inhale. that $500 is pretty steep.:)

After doing a Google search for reviews I think I'll pass on the VM3. The reviews I found are 2 years old, and not all bad but..The price is negotiable..from $250 to $450 depending who you believe, when the battery needs replaced you have to send it back to the company so it's not user replaceable and costs about $150.. It's recommended you send the unit back for a thorough cleaning by the factory once a year, it's not easy to bo basic cleaning maintenance, and if they find evidence of it being used with illegal substances they will prosecute. The chamber cups (15 included) only hold a tiny amount of tobacco leaf so you have to keep changing cups every few puffs, maybe not so much with e-juice. Most users are very pleased with it, some were not. It seems to be a good unit overall but not very desireable for heavy use, and the less expensive units would be better as an emergency backup to e-cigs.

How are these the solution if egics are banned... I'm sure the juice will go first... so what would you use in them? just plain tobacco?
Yes just regular tobacco, it's much safer to vaporize it than burn it, less tars & carcinogens. Or extract the nicotine from the tobacco and make your own juice.

I really dont know bout the vapbong because it does look like a crack pipe and not too thrilled about that . I am looking for a electric one that will do a great job and if at all portable. I need portable because when dad goes for his nightly walk while the wife puts the kids to bed. Me and my wife made a rule for me when we got married cant briing it in the house but doesnt mind me doing it. Any recoomendations.

Visit this website for any and all info on herbal vaporizers www.****combustion.com ****= ... with correct spelling.

For a portable unit that can be used w/o being hooked up to electricity limits your options, these are the ones i would suggest:

The vaporgenie, this is a pipe looking vaporizer that uses a lighter to vaporize the material, it takes a bit of practice but it works GREAT.

The Iolite, this has been discussed here for e-liquid usage but it is my personal portable vape, i use it whenever i am away from a power outlet.

A new product called the Magic Flight Launch Tube, this vape uses rechargable batterys to provide power, read about this on the Fukcombustion forums for a ton of info..

My personal favorite vaporizer needs to be plugged into power, i use this 99% of the time. The Purple-Days, it is UNBELIEVABLY efficient and is one hell of a work horse. It comes with a car adapter so you can use it in your car with ease. I reccomend this vape 10000%

I personally own a silver surfer vaporizer (SSV), an Iolite, a Purple Days, and a Volcano.

    Harry:

Thanks for that info. Do you know if the Vapir has some sort of liquid reservoir or how, exactly do you insert the juice?

I'm thinking these might be good alternatives if the FDA puts our vaporizors out of business.

    JamesD

Well the list of vaporizers should tell you something - They will NOT be taking the devices - That's just a heater with a mouthpiece on it - It's the JUICE man the JUICE - Course you can put leaf tobacco in one of those and get the same result as the juice - That's the use they discuss to sell them -

Vaping is a concept - Knowledge can not be BANNED - Try as they might :)

Not that I would recommend this, but to contribute to the list of possibles:

Make your own PV using a light bulb. Numerous Youtube videos to show you how.

The Purple Days Vaporizer looks really good, but at $180 and 2+months waiting time, it is a bit out of my reach - maybe next year.

I don't know why I waste my time with tact, i just don't do it well. So let me be blunt.

I am aware that they will all work. What I was trying to ask is do you think the VapBong is the best for smoking pot.

Don't go writing stuff like that. Now politicians will start claiming that e-liquid is a gateway drug.

The real question : is smoking tobacco with these things as economical as e-cigs? Is it so efficient that very little is necessary?

I did roll/stuff your own (syo) before I got into e-cigs to save money. I have come to the conclusion that smoking e-cigs will never be as economical as syo before the tax hike (cost me $0.80 to 1.20 a pack) with all the hardware investment. It would defeat the purpose to buy tobacco and extract it to make juice. Tobacco that once cost $12 a pound is now $37 a pound.
