In my experience ordering from 6 different vendors from coast-to-coast, the absolute worst place a package can originate at or go to either as final destination or while in route is California... a 4-to-5 day stay at a distribution center there is common. The only good thing I can see to these recent trends is no steeping after receipt.

That's odd. Every time I order from AVE in California it goes first class mail and arrives in Florida next day and is delivered the following day.

I have tracked an order out of NC. It was picked up there and next day was at the Atlanta sort facility then Newnan and then here.
As they lay off, close, and steal operating money from the USPS they will become less and less efficient. When everyone is sick of their mail being slow and screwed up the Government will privatize the postal system. Most will never know the USPS is vary capable of doing a great job its in fact truing a profit. The internet did for the most part stop letters but small packages has sky rocketed. The start of this was union busting under the Bush. We can sit back and allow believe the liars and thieves and lose yet another great thing in this country or become active and save whats important to us.
Its hard to know where to start there is so much crap going on these days. But setting around pretending its not happening will not solve the problems for sure!

I don't know where AVE is but think the distribution center I've had the wait from serves a couple of Southern California ones. One is Beach Vapes and can't remember the name of the one that got routed there. To be fair, the Northern Michigan one has very close to the same delay times... a little less and is an off and on situation.

Once I got off the plane in Washington, DC and my luggage went to Anchorage, Alaska. I wore the same clothes I traveled in until the next afternoon when the airlines delivered my luggage by van.

I reported for a change of duty station to Quantico Virginia with...nothing other than the uniform I flew in and stuff that went in a carry-on. I had to buy a complete set of uniforms, including boots, etc.

Well, it's not all their fault about stopping some mail on Saturdays. Everyone uses email these days instead of snail mail. The US has the cheapest mail delivery on this planet, and believe it or not, the most reliable.

I heard they were going to halt Saturday delivery. As long as it's just letter mail or else I may have to go........postal

lol i love usps rants... my last juice order was shipped last mon and still hasn't arrived 9 days later...tracking says "delivered" but alas it ain't in there... said perhaps it will come today to which i replied in disgust why would u scan it as delivered but fail to just slide it in the box afterward...makes no sense silly guy...stop trying to yoinks me juice all the time...i know what ur up to...

forget the average 8 days it takes a package lately to travel 5 states and the constant changing of expected delivery dates, what i rly hate is when u pay for priority for absolutely no reason...

It always takes a while to implement new strategies. A year ago, the post office was talking about closing down small town post offices and servicing those areas out of larger towns. We may be seeing the first implementations of those decisions. My mail used to arrive about lunchtime. I suspect my "edge of the county" mail person may be starting out up the road in extended territory and making it back to me around dark. Can anyone see overtime involved? Blame it on Congress.
