Doubt they will. I get one of those surveys about once a month or so. I have other things to take into consideration when looking at delivery time as well though. My mail when coming from west or south of me goes through Kearny, NJ. That aea was hit pretty hard when Sandy rolled through there last year. The Kearny, NJ distributing office lost most of their machinery and has to do everything by hand. So I have to add 2 days to the expected delivery date. Anything more and then there is a problem.

Haha they offered that survey to me a week or so ago.

It broke and wouldn't let me move past one of the tasks (I think I had to drag something left to right and the dang thing didn't move).

Even their survey was broken!

Figures.

Exact same thing happened to me.... I just gave up, maybe it sensed I was slamming them in the survey and did that to lock me out....

I believe those surveys are given out solely...

... due to some ambiguous USPS governmental committee requirement that had to justify their position! No resultant actions required...

I love USPS; I have received many, many deliveries from them since I started vaping: all have arrived on-time or early, in good condition, and at a cheap price. UPS charges three times that price for packages that take double the time to deliver. I, for one, would send them a glowing survey if they ever gave me one.

I wish they would give me that survey right now.... Got a package that shows online as processed thru Kearny NJ on the 19th. And noting more. When I check over the phone it says left processing location on the 20th. Who the hell knows where it actually is now :p

Anything going through Kearny, NJ expect a minimum of a 2 day hold there.

I've had nothing but good results with USPS both as a shipper and receiver of shipments. I can't say their "tracking" is anything to write home about, but I usually receive my packages either on the date indicated or before. Never had a lost shipment.
When I look at the pricing of say UPS, and how long it takes them to deliver ground shipments, there is no doubt that USPS is the better choice.
I'm just sad to read that Sat. deliveries will soon cease. I do seem to remember reading something about packages still being delivered on Sat., but that doesn't make any sense. Why deliver packages and not mail? Anyone see that? Maybe I'm just using wishful thinking......

I agree.

I'm also pretty much baffled by all this bad-mouthing of the USPS, seeing as how they've been laying off people left and right, and get nothing but grief from all sides.

I mean, what idiot decided that the PO was supposed to "pay for itself," anyway? Who decided service should be slashed to ribbons? Good grief. A civilized country supports the post office to facilitate communication and commerce. It's just like highways and bridges; it's not supposed to make a profit. And before all the cutting and slashing got underway, the PO worked just fine.

So now that the good old PO is falling apart all those brilliant anti-gubmitt folk will happily pay three times as much for UPS, right?

Of course! :)

Ooooh, that survey! I got one too, two weeks after I had to contact USooPS about a package that went MIA. Tracking showed it manged to get all the way from Hong Kong... and then got stuck in the local sorting facility limbo. (Anyone in Boston familiar with their secret society Fenway Annex and ever had a problem with it knows what I mean.)

They should know better than to send a survey to a customer registering a complaint. Bcuz, two weeks after I made my inquiry they still had not found the package, let alone delivered it. And after I made the inquiry I got a snotty e-mail from someone at the Fenway Annex that, basically, told me to pound salt if I didn't like how he was doing his job.

A MONTH later the package finally showed up - with no explanation as to where it was hiding for nearly two months. Let alone any apology.

That's not the first time that's happened with the Fenway Annex facility. The problems and their attitude have been remarkably consistent.

Noodles to say they got reamed in the survey. Probably doesn't matter, but I feel better for sending it. lol Oh well, if USPS goes down in flames their high marks for resolving delivery problems might be part of the problem. Ya think?

In all honesty, I have no issues with the USPS. My response above was in regard to da survey. Gawd only knows how many times I've seen a 'committee' do pre-planning, planning, pre/post process assessment and attainable goals after an effup!

A camel looks like a horse that was planned by a committee.

The only prob I have ever had with USPS was in 1977. They delivered my income tax @ the wrong address & a lady cashed it @ the corner store with no ID by telling the owner she was my girl friend. The owner knew my wife & I both. I got my 900$ check 6 wks later & the owner was fined an unspecified amount & had his cash checking suspended for 6 mo. BTW,she wasn't my GF HeHe. Oh,she got 3 months.

Of course! :)

I already pay the extra (it is not three times as much, by the way). Want to know why? Because when something happens to my package, they will make it right. I can get accurate tracking data on it, it automatically updates me when it makes it to a hub, is out for delivery that day, etc.

The PO was always supposed to be self sustaining. Until recently, it was. Sure, some of the problems are because they don't have the flexibility to change like they need to, so you can blame congress for part of this. Part of it is the fact that mail is less and less necessary for many activities.

I find the idea that we should "just pay for it" to be just the sort of attitude that has us swimming in debt that my kids will have to deal with. The PO obviously needs to raise its rates so that those that are using its service are paying for the service, rather than operating at a loss and the taxpayers get stuck paying for it whether they use the USPS or not. That is not right. Of course it is cheaper than UPS, the professionals at UPS have to make a profit, so the costs are properly allocated.

Lets get with the program USPS. Cut your services, branches, whatever. Private businesses have been leaning up over the last four years to deal with the weaker economy. Just because it is a government entity does not mean it is entitled to exist as it always has.

Love the pic above. My problem is not so much with USPS, but with their tracking system. Several times, at least for me, I found it to be complete garbage. Never have the issues with Fed Ex or UPS tracking.

Of course I bet if we could actually dig into the issue we would probably find they are well aware of the problems, but do not have the cash to address them.
