You folks in Cali have it made with vape-stores close by to actually see these mods before purchasing. :) I took a chance on an Astro by Kato listed on the classies, which the member was kind enough to give me a sweet deal on. ;) It was everything I thought it would be from the reviews and pics I saw thankfully...

So many B&Ms here in SoCal now. Not good for my wallet, but I am very thankful to be able to walk into a store, meet some cool people, learn something new each time, and vape strong :)

Hey -

Your picture inspired me to buy the RDA to go w/ my TS mod. I have a quick question, maybe you can help a fellow owner out. I'm running an 18650 battery, however it seems to rattle ever so slightly - I know there's a way to fasten down one of the screws to make it super snug.

In fact, the guy inside VapeRev did it for me, then like an idiot I started fiddling with it, now it's loose - How do I tighten this badboy up?

The white delrin ring around the bottom contact is adjustable. Turn counterclockwise to raise it. Takes a few tries to get it just right.

Can I ask you guys what the difference is between these sorts of units and the "lightsaber" APVs with LED/LCD displays? Is the hit harsher? I'm using an eGo C Twist and honestly the hit is harsher than I care for at higher voltages. It also produces good vapor, so I'm very curious how this sort of equipment works.

In my case, no electronics to fail, my batteries last way over a year, I can build coils around the wick of my choice at the ohms I need to produce satisfying vape for hours until I need to change batteries, and I like the performance, quality, and looks of the mods I've chosen..

I'm not into sub-ohm vaping.. Just low enough resistance to not tax my batteries, and produce smooth, flavorful clouds.. :) I do have a variable voltage ProVari when I do want to set the voltage, and maintain the same level of vape throughout the entire life of the battery when I'm in the mood though.. ;) (also a REO bottom-fed box mod, and other mods also... :) )

If you're happy with what you have now, stick with it. It's taken me almost 3 years of progression at this game to learn, and try different devices out to be where I am now. :)

Appreciate the info! The building aspect is intimidating and it sounds like I should go with a ProVari if I'm looking for a premium next-level vape. It's a shame they don't look nearly as great as this.

You can purchase a device called the Kick, (I recommend the Kick 2) which can be placed inside the tube of most mechanical mods to set a certain wattage to maintain the level of vape, and still have the looks of the mechs that you appear to like...

Our Products « Evolv

There is also the Crown, which offers both VV and VW in the same device with more bells and whistles... The Kick has been proven, and around longer though..

Yep, definitely too advanced for me at this juncture... ;) Maybe I'll look into this a few years down the road.

Nothing wrong at all with a Provari! If you decide to go that route I would suggest you also take a look at DNA20 mods. Just do a search around here for info on them. You can also check the Hana Modz thread here. I have mostly mechs, held on to a Provari because sometimes I like a nice regulated vape. Sold the Provari and got the Hana.

Really though Provari is great for people who do not care about Crazy clouds or super low ohms. My wife uses one and loves it.

Ok, enough of all that. Will leave ya all to the Turtle mod talk.

I tried to hold back but i gave in too quick. I ened up getting both the polished brass and ss, to swap accent parts. Pretty much compensated for several failed attempts to find a chi you. Both vape like a champ, but the center pin and delryn pops out if i screw in the atty first. Does anyone have this problem too?

Not having that problem, but read about people who were. PM UVO's Facebook. I've been hearing that they have great customer service and will probably send you replacement parts. Only the pin should move, the delrin sounds defective.
