So, apparently my brand spanking new Mini Turtle Ship mech has the worlds shortest center pin. It's a floating pin, and even when it's pushed up all the way, it still doesn't make contact with my kayfun Mini (which does not have an adjustable 510 connection). Then, when it is fully assembled, even with the delrin adjuster in the switch adjusted all the way out, the battery rattles like crazy. Aside from scanning the aisles at Lowes for some brass pieces, what can I do? Please help. Very sad here today. . . :(

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I had to go to Lowes because even with the delrin battery adjuster unscrewed all the way, I still couldn't make contact. So, I bought some brass screws that had a flat top, and had the same diameter posts as the original center pin. I cut one down to size, about 1.5 mm longer than the original pin. I ground it down flat and polished the top. Works like a charm now. Annoying that it didn't come with a longer pin, but luckily I am a crafty lady who knows her way around a hardware store and power tools. Thanks again everyone!

Even with a button top battery???

Yep. Even with a button top battery, the center pin was just too short, regardless of taking everything apart and putting it all back together. I had to change out the spring too because the original spring was too weak and I couldn't stand it up without it auto-firing. I still like it a lot, but had to mod it for it to work for me. Hopefully RJ Mods will improve their design a bit on the next production run.

You rock! I picked one up today and had the same problem. I got it to fire but I feel like the floating pin could be a bit longer.

Thanks! I'll be doing a review on it in a week or two on my YouTube channel along with my fix for the center pin. Hopefully the later versions of this mod will have a longer pin. I't's just way too short. Hope you are enjoying your Mini Turtleship! Cheers!

Is that review up on youtube yet?!
