I called uwell in California and spoke to Joseph about this exact problem. He is sending me a pack of the 3 kinds I have (.25,.5 and .15 Ni200) for just the cost of shipping. He said there was an issue and they want to ensure the customers are satisfied with he product. There's a stand up company for you. That is keeping me a customer, as I think I am going to go buy the Black one to go along with my stainless one.

Thats the way they are handling it, and i do give Joseph points for doing it. He did go above and beyond for me. But every vaper i know here is having the same issue, and i just spoke to one guy at my local B&M vape store whos only getting about 2 days out of a coil. And he points out that he's working at the vape store and even he cant find a coil set that isnt wonky, and further pointed out what we who have been through it know, theres no way to tell whether the coils you buy online/locally are going to be good or bad as UWell never implemented a supply chain stock tracking system, so they cant recall just the bad batches. So its going to be 50/50 for who knows how long before the bad batches are gone. Even with the experience i had with the Crown, ill still consider whatever Uwell comes up with in future, as they have no doubt learnt from this experience, and at leats they do customer service, unliek some vendors i could mention...umm JoyeTech.

Maybe you should report back when you get the replacements to see if theres any change, i dont think ive read too many (i saw 2) reports on the coils sent by UWell direct. Ive moved off the Crown, but it may help others

I sure will, and I will also ask if there is a way to tell the difference between the "good ones" and the bad ones.

How many tanks you having issues with?

Push a pin through the center of the wicking and coil. It will open it up a bit and should wick better.

I never had this problem with the NI200 coils until I got a pack this month. It wasnt wicking a 65vg/35pg blend that I used many times before flawlessly. I know how to prime the coils I've watched the video on it like 10 times and I've had great success with the coils prior to this most recent batch. Now I am convinced that Uwell packed the cotton a little too tightly this time around. I poked some holes through the wicking holes and down the top and now it's working as it always has. Awesome advice.

Uwell sent me a 4 pack of 0.25 to replace the ones that came with my tank. They're no better than the originals. Even with a careful break in they don't last a week. I let them soak in the tank over night and slowly bring up the power starting at 30 watts. I bought the RBA deck hoping to get a better experience but the airflow is ridiculously tight even without a build in it. Very disappointing. I'm over the Crown tank. Definitely doesn't live up to the hype.

Too bad it didn't work out for you Louie.

I bought 4 dozen from Vape Royalty last week after confirming that they're newer than a month.
Night/day difference from those tight AF coils that were around a few months ago.
50W for a few minutes, 65W for an hour then 80W without a dry hit in sight and airy as they should be.

So after 6 weeks and a bit of a reply from Joseph at Uwell, they said they would provide me replacement coils and this hasn't happened after I transferred $6USD to them. Then I've been emailing them about what ever happened to these replacements and now absolutely no response at all, asked them where the coils are, could I get a refund of the $6 and don't worry about the coils, nobody seems to want anything to do with one of their customers here at all.. Oh well, guess I lost this one!

You try calling them?

Sounds like I need to call Uwell. I've been using the Crown since shortly after it was released at 60w on the .25 coils with 80/20 juice from MBV. I used to easily get 3 weeks out of each coil. At some point - it's hard to tell since I had coils on hand for quite some time - they got borked and I have the same experience as all of you - burnt hit city within a few days.

I'm now flying through coils on what is my 3rd order containing crap coils. This last order was made from Subtank Supply just a few weeks ago. Super disappointing. I don't even mind the cost so much, it's having a coil totally unexpectedly take a complete .... on me as I'm driving into work for the morning, screwed for the entire rest of the day trying to sip off little pulls without incurring the wrath of satan's anus.

If someone finds a helpful contact at Uwell, it would be great to know.

I've been using the 0.5's the last few days at similar power, but the taste is a little off (vaguely rubbery like Atlantis 0.3), as is vapor production. My Kanger mini is damn close to the Crown 0.5 for clouds, sad to say. It's not the wrath of Satan, but not worth vaping either. I just went to the local B&M and bought (2) 0.25's. I did not find the 0.5 to use less juice. If I have my Crown with me, I always have another tank I can use for when a coil goes south, so I don't turn into a complete SOB.

Hey there, I respect your opinion and I'm sure you know what you are doing. However, letting the coil soak from within the tank itself is not sufficient enough and I can almost guarantee that is the reason for you're bad experience with the crown. This method is okay for other tanks such as the Arctic or the subtank, even the freemax starre. The Crown coils are packed so tightly with cotton that you need to literally douse them with juice from your dripper until liquid is leaking from the side juice ports. At that point you know the cotton is fully saturated. Their juice ports are simply not big enough to allow the coil to soak all the way through from within the tank when they are bone dry. Good luck

Just tried putting holes with a small needle in an 0.25 to help wicking, as someone else here recently suggested. Will be interesting to see if it helps or hurts. It was vaping fine for awhile at around 60-62w today, but as soon as I went to 65 I got a burnt hit. The people who say they are vaping it at 85-95 watts might be vaping "something else," or maybe they think their car car can go 150 because that's what the speedometer says..... or, maybe they are vaping 50/50 liquid, clear as water, with the mildest of unsweetened flavors?

Trust me, the coils were thoroughly saturated and vaped wonderfully for a few days. They just don't last more than 4-5 days before they start getting nasty.

Before all these bad coils started showing up - and now when I poke holes in the coils - I have no problem vaping 0.25's at 100w. I use 60w day to day but I've put it on 100w and vaped for hours on multiple occasions. This is with 6mg 80/20 Hawk Sauce from MBV.
