I don't know what it was I was doing wrong with the V1. Tried everything but always got annoying leakage when using replacement coils. The ones in the box were fine.

The only common factor I can think of is that I always purchase the coils from FT.

Being 24mm doesn't put me off getting one, but after seeing the above review I'm not so sure about the v2. I think I've got leakophobia! It does look very nice though. But for now I think I'll keep on messing around with my new sigelei moonshot 22mm (amazing flavour!! . highly recommend if u wanna try building coils) until I get a few more opinions from people that have tried the v2 handson.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the v1 but I have seen people complaining about leaking. I know a batch of bad coils went out and that could be the reason for the leaking. I heard the v2 had some bad coils too but they were recalled. Maybe some got packaged with the v2 and that's why the reviewer's v2 leaked. It will be interesting to see more reviews as more people get the v2.

Leaking hasn't been a problem with the five Ctown v1's I have. Even in the California sun and the inside of my car. Last summer I was a sub tank mini guy and all of them leaked profusely when the heat caused the juice to thin. Not a problem with the u well crown tank. They haven't leaked thinned juice AT ALL. Just found out that crown v1 has an rba option. Going to buy a few of those to go with the coils ive hoarded for the vapocalypse. I'm going to check out v2. Reviews forthcoming. :)

Uwells bad coils have tarnished the V2s reputation already. Now I seem to remember when they released the V1 people said that Uwell made 80% of the coils we've all been using already. So why can't they get there own coils right. I don't use tanks anymore but I still wanted the Crown V2 to do well cos I loved the Crown V1 so much.

I have the v2. It's very pleasing on the eyes. After vaping on the v2 the v1 seams to be lacking. I haven't had any issues with leaking with v1 or v2.
Hopefully u got one with a good batch of coils. @vapnfagan isn't so enthusiastic about the coils:

Another video that makes me glad I didn't buy one. Hopefully they get the issues worked out and when they do I might buy one.

The Crown 2 has more in common with the Rafale than with the original Crown. Rafale coils work in the Crown 2, and that goes for the RBA as well.

Correct!! They could've easily called it Rafale V2, but Uwell seem to want to capitalize on the Crown success. I have the original Crown and have the Crown II on Pre-order. The site says shipping out on June 30th. Will have it shortly and will post my thoughts.

I went through the coil that was preinstalled and currently using the .5 coil.. Ever since I picked up this tank I haven't experienced any leaking at all even after switching the coils. At one point it was upside in my pocket didn't leak.

That's good news!

Did you have to go through a strict breaking in process on the coils you've used? Or would you say these coils are less sensitive to improper breaking in than the old version?

I've had my crown for about 3 weeks and haven't had any issues with at all. Ive used both coils and even have a Rafale coin in it right now and it's still hitting nice. I just bout a pack. Of the new coils and will let everybody know if I run into any problems with them.

Vaping360 says it's 22 at the base and 24 at it's widest (probably the airflow control). I'd really like to know if the old RBA will work in this and/or do they have plans for one?
The V1 coils including the RBA deck will not work. I emailed Crown though and they told me the VRBA for the Rafael will work.

I'm ordering a couple of Crown's and VRBA's next week ;)

The leaking issue with the V1's was due to the inner shaft becoming loose during usage, where the juice would flow through the air shaft, into the coil head, and out of the afc. This would be evident if the tank only drained 1/2 to 2/3rds of the tank, or approximately where the two inner shaft joins were at.

I fixed my V1 tanks by gluing them permanently together - that is, the inner shaft threads holding the pyrex in place. Fixed both in april this year, and not one leak since then. Was my go to tanks for a good portion of the past 6+ months.
