The original Crowns are awesome tanks. Great flavor and very good air flow. The new Crown seems more like a repackaged Rafael. But I'm still working with it to see if I can find a sweet spot.

But so far the original Crowns are still the Kings.

I kinda wish I would have got one of those instead. I probably still will as I'm let down by this. Or just stick with the Kanger tanks.

If anyone has an old Kbox (doesn't matter if it's the mini, 75, 120, 160, or the 200) please post a picture of the Crown V2. sitting flush on it? I know what others have said but a picture would erase any doubt I have.

The size was my error. I thought I had a 22mm deck on my mod but it turns out it's 23mm, so the v2 is 23mm at the base. I find the flavor of the v2 is about the same as the v1, so you won't be missing anything in the flavor department. I do feel the v2 produces a smoother vape though.

I read a bunch of Facebook comments on the Uwell page about people complaining they only get 1-3 days coil life on the v2. I have no idea what they're doing wrong but so far I have 8 days on my coil and it's still going strong. I always had good life from the v1 coils too averaging 3 months out of them. :thumb:

Coil life, in my experience anyway, is very juice dependent. Sweet juices like candy, cake and deserts eat coils in my experience. Menthol and fruit without sweetness and coils last a lot longer. But I have no idea.

Good information, thank!

Yeah my guess was they're using juices that use lots of artificial sweeteners. I know those gunk up coils fast.

OK after a bit more playing with the VRBA deck in the Crown II the diameter of the jig on the included tool is way to large. The included tool the diameter of the coil is 5.25mm. So in order to get a coil with enough wraps to hold it's shape smallest gauge used would be with dual 26 gauge to get a .4 - .5 ohm coil. Plus very little room for cotton, thus the Tank would get burn your fingers hot. I ended up using my own jig and wrapped a 4mm di coil using 28x2/34 SS fused Clapton w/4 wraps. This gave me a .35 coil and more room for more cotton. Pretty nice vape, I like it better than the stock .25 coil.

So all in all so far it's a decent Tank and I do enjoy it, but I still prefer the original Crown.

Hum, thanks. May look into getting one of those decks.
Yeah I like the design of the deck but as I mentioned the di of the jig IMO is too large. Not enough room for cotton and to get a decent ohm you'd need to use like 22g for Kanthal or for fused clapton or parallel wrap 24g. So what you'd end up with is needing to run it like at 80 or so watts to get a vape, thus the tank gets scorching hot. Give it a try though, but what worked for me as I mentioned I used my own jig and wrapped a 4mm di coil. That leaves room for more cotton so more buffer between the coil and the metal. Working pretty well now. After a few days I think I'll try a 26x2/34 SS fused clapton in her, I like to vape around .25 and a 4mm di seems to be the sweet spot for the Crown II.

No need for the explanation brother it's all good! I read a lot of complaints as well over at Reddit about those V.2 coils. To make matters worse, this latest pack of V.1 coils i got from MVS is only lasting through a 30ml bottle, which for me, is about 3 to 4 days.

I don't feel bad at all with the V.1, especially after hearing everyone's experiences with them. I might pick up the V.2 later on once I hear they get their coil issues fixed.:)

Excellent, looking forward to the RBA deck, been using the VRBA deck for the Rafael and don't really like it.

As much as I wanted to love the Crown v2, it's not what I was expecting. I ordered the Maximaus sub ohm tank by CCI. It's 25 mm diameter. It holds 7.5 ml of e-liquid. It has a .2 and .5 coil. The .5 is rated 30-80 watts and the .2 is rated 60-120 watts. I'm mainly an RTA guy, but like having a couple of quality sub ohms around for when I am lazy and do not want to build. Mike Vapes has a review on the Maximaus.
