Big problem with prodigy V2

First I love the thing just wish it was a little better

1 the buttons first runs are bad I had to get some o rings and conductive grease to make it work I will send this one back when they do a final fix

2 the adapters I like using an 801 but none of the Janty or Joy 302 will work the center post is lower than the outer post and it is unable to make contact due to the larger center post on the atomizer. I have tried to tap the center post out a little but just a bit too short to work my V1 worked with them??

I would use the ones that Pure smokers seals but I got 6 of them and 2 DOA 2 Popped within an hour are so and the other ones did not last a week $$$ lost

3 to hot for a 510 popped three of them in short order
I hope they can fix the 801 adapters so they work with all attys all they have to so is make the center post longer and would like to see a better button

If they don’t I will have to dump my V2 and stay with my eGo

I use BE112's with no issues at all on my V2, as well as the Joye 510's that PS sells, I'm only on my second 510 atty since I got my V2 and I was in the first batch of mailings back at the beginning of Jan. I'm also only on my first BE112 and have been using it for 3 weeks so far. I am only using the V2 adapters from PS and nothing else.

As far as the switch goes, if you go Here There is a thread to put your order number in for a free upgrade kit to your switch that should correct all the issues.

I had issues with the switch as well. VERY hard to press. I took it apart and used some 1000 grit sand paper on the contact ring. Just rubbed it lightly on both flat surfaces of the ring. Put it back together and it worked like a charm. Easy to press now.
I have other issues with it though that don't seem as easy to fix. It wipes out 510 attys in short order, and the threads that the atty screws into are either too few, or came stripped out. It works, but the atty kinda flops around in the threads.
I've used PS 510 attys, attys from cignot, and from totally wicked. Some last a little longer than others, but none go for more than a day or so. I press the button for short bursts, keep drawing after pressing to cool it, but still burn them out faster than I can afford to buy them. :(

I'm just curious: when you've blown 510 attys, are you dripping?

I'm asking because I've had the V1 and V2 and haven't lost an atty until yesterday when I tried dripping. It popped within a few drags.

So I'm wondering if it was coincidence, or if my dripping experiment was what did it in. Using carts, I've been fine so far. But I keep them topped off.

You defiantly need to send the unit back...Couse If you are blowing 1 atty each day, than there is definitely something wrong with your PV....

Looks like the button has some fixes for them, but the biggest problem I have is the 801 adapter it will not work with the better ones that have the larger center post due to the short center post of the adapter . they need to extend the center post on the adapter so it’s higher than the outer post this will make it work with all of the 801 attys
Paying for six attys and only have two works is a little too expensive, I have never in the last year had a DOA from Janty

FrogHat No issues at all???

No man, absolutely none

I have had the V2 I guess 3-4 weeks now, I did the o-ring/Noalox before any issues came to light......still nothing. Works like a champ.

My Protege (6 weeks)......No issues, and I am still using the Tact Switch. I figure there is no reason to go mechanical if I don't need too.

I was also told to get a V1 if I could find one.................found a guy that was having issues with his......bought it from him.
I ordered a switch and a new adapter...............cleaned it up, same thing:confused: Works like a champ.

I have no issues with these things, sorry to hear that other people are:(

Just isn't the case with me.

Well everyone knows here, i never had an issue with my Protege or my V2....And yes i am still using the original switch on my Protege since i had it (about 4 months) Although i bought the new mechanical switch as a back up.... I never had to use it... But even though i never had any major issues with any of my PS PV's.... I do have to fiddle with them sometimes to make them work....So pretty much what I'm trying to say is,It is great to hear that you have not had any issues with your PV's.....That's great....:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I only fiddle when I break them down once a week for cleaning.

I read ajmoore.......double press. Yeah I have done that, but that isn't really an issue to me. And didn't seemed like it was to ajmoore either.

I may have mis stated how long I have had the Protege......4-5 weeks.

Hey.......I like the V1, I used that puppy all day yesterday 3.7........Nice. Glad I got that one.

Batteries take forever to charge though.....

I actually never had the pleasure of owning or even trying the V1....But i hear nothing but great things about it....Maybe one day, i will get a chance to try it out....Or even buy a used one....The V1 Is a great PV by the way....Nice find....

Yeah, double press, no issue. I've had the first one since the first part of January and the second one at the beginning of February. I'm certainly not discounting your problems, they have been clearly documented elsewhere.
Well they are not really problems.....Like i said before it's just the fiddle part for me that is all....But then again i have to fiddle with my car seat to get it just right when i need to go for a long drive....And when i say fiddle with it, i mean i have to have the adapter just right or it wont fire at all....Less then a quarter turn does the trick for me.....
