OK. That's what I am ordering

I think you will be very happy with that. You might want to look locally, there might be a vape store nearby. You can check out their devices/juices in person. Otherwise, try some sampler packs from the vendors here at ECF, I wouldnt buy alot til you have tried it

Yea depending on your vaping, it'll be signifantly less filling. As for the cartomizer(the tank goes around the cartomizer) life itself, it comes with four. If you're using one liquid per carto, depending on your e-juice composition, you can usually get 20 days or so each or so I've heard. I haven't got my kit yet, but I ordered thursday, said it shipped Thursday, but tracking didn't show pickup until 5pm today. I did standard first class mail, so I'm expecting mine around Monday or Tuesday and I can't wait.

I also like the rewards program at madvapes. I was able to get $2.00 off when I ordered 8 more replacement cartos.

Thats the 5% I was talking about. think those 808 carts hold maybe 1/8th of a Ml, so 3.5 (though I wouldnt fill to the top - prolly just 3 Ml) is about 24 carts, at a better guess

I Vape 2-3 Ml a day, depending on how much distraction there is.

OK. That's what I am ordering. Any advice on a really good menthol juice?

Before you settle on that kit... perhaps you should also consider a few others just to ensure you get what you think best fits your needs.

I have nothing against the eGo's... in fact I'm currently using a Joye eGo-T that I'm very happy with but had I known what I do now... I would choose another direction.. but it is only a slight difference. Still the eGo is probably a good place to begin.

The eGo is an update to the original 510 system in that it supports 510 type atty's and carts as well as eGo threaded versions of these. They use a proprietary 3.3-3.4v battery style that can be found just about everywhere... The batteries are available in 650mah, 900mah, 1000mah and 1100mah sizes... so you should be able to find one that will last a long time before needing recharged. Also as many have mentioned... there are numerous types of atty's and carts from normal sizes that you are already familar with up to the large tank sizes.

The next iteration of the eGo that came out ( from what I can tell ) is the eGo-T. This version can use the same atty's and carts as the original but also supports a new "tank" type of cartridge/atty where the cartridge doesn't need a filler material when using this type of atty.

Next, they came out with the eGo-C... This is just an updated version of the eGo-T that has a module type of atty that is cheaper to operate since you only need to replace the coil/wick portion of the atty. In fact... the T model can be upgraded to the C model simply by purchasing the newer style of atty.

I'm not sure if the model you were linked to earlier is a Joye brand or a clone... but it doesn't use the standard eGo type atty's... It is setup to use a carto with a tank on it to provide more capacity for the liquid. There are several clones available and many are good... but like any clone market, there are certainly also some low quality parts out there so you still need to research some to make certain you are getting good value for your dollar... they are not all created equal no matter what they look like. In fact, I just recently purchased some clone C type atty cartridges and they are terrible... everything I put into them tastes like a dry hit and has that distinct burnt flavor.

There is another eGo type clone out there that I do want to mention... the KGO. While I haven't used one, I do see a ton of good reviews on these. These have the same size and style that the eGo has and the major advantage is that they use a 3.7v battery instead of a 3.3v-3.4v one. In general, a higher voltage will help with the throat hit you get. So these are certainly something you want to look into. These support standard 510 connections but I don't think they support the eGo connectors without using an adapter.

I'm actually looking at another clone spinoff called the E-Power 14650 made by SmokTech. This is also similar to the eGo and KGO in style, it also operates at 3.7v like the KGO but with one important difference... it uses a standard protected 14650 lithium battery instead of a proprietary batteries like the eGo and KGO's. The nice part about using this type of battery is that replacements are only about $6-8 where as the eGo/KGO replacement batteries are $15-20 or so. The E-Power 14650 also supports the 510 connectors and only supports an eGo style connector with an adapter. These have had only fair reviews in the past because of their switch design... they have updated their switch and are now on v3 which, if I've understood it correctly... address's the past problems they've had reported.

Check all of these out a bit before you make your final choose... I'm sure between them you will find exactly what fits you current needs... and then later... you can get one of the big boys for when you reach that point.

Ok I ordered that kit from Madvapes. I also got a sampler pack of some fruity flavors. I hope it ships fast. I want to quit real cigs but this V2 isn't helping.

Darn it... I typed way to much for too long...

I bet you'll still be very happy with your choice considering what you are moving on from...

I really appreciate your long reply. TONS of good info.

I really wish I had done more research before buying the V2. I can't wait to get the new one and see what all this e cig fuss is about. I thought e cigs were supposed to taste burnt and dry all the time.

There is still a place for a mini like you have ( though it sounds like you need a different carto for it )... I got myself a Joye 510-T with an auto battery... a minicig with a tank cart similar to it's big eGo-T brother, for times when I want to vape hands free like when I'm flying my RC planes or mowing the lawn etc...

The 510-T still provides decent vapor but of course the battery isn't good for too long. Still it's perfect for hanging in my lips while doing something with my hands...

Ive run the battery out of the manual battery since I started this thread. SOB>

I can related to that... My 510-T's battery is a 220mah auto... lasts me between an hour to an hour and a 1/2 ... I chain vape...

Of course no such issue with my eGo-T with a 1100mah batteries... They will last between 6-10hrs just depending on how much I'm vaping...

I do the same thing when I'm on the computer. Constantly vaping. It's sooooo good but the batteries are soooo bad.

What vendor would be good to look at for the kgo or ego?

Hi & Welcome! : SLB KGO Starter Kit

Generally, 100mAh is presumed to = approx. 1 hr. for the average vaper. I've never actually met the "average" vaper, but that's what "they" claim he (or she) claims. :D

Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Ive got a Riva 900mah, and a V2 and use them both. I can honestly say neither one produces more vapor than the other. The ONLY difference is battery life, at least thats the only difference Ive seen thus far. As far as V2 having bad carto's? I dont buy that either, they have some of the best Pre-filled out there, everybody raves over the Reds and the Menthol is probably one of the best Menthol's available according to many. If you dont like their shipping then call ahead to find out whats in stock and you dont have any problems. Ive had issues with shipping, its easy enough to call ahead and get what you want that way. Customer Service, find a better one and let me know, Ive dealt with a few and none were better but many were worse. When you make a purchase through their website they back it up, PERIOD.
I switch between the V2 and the Riva depending on what Im doing, sitting at the computer I use the V2 cause its small, automatic and I dont have to push a switch to use it, but that me. I also dont feel like I got ripped off by high prices in my purchase, I quit smoking analogs, put a price tag on that one!

Their pre-filled carts were terrible. Their juice I refilled them with was great. The shipping problem I had was not due to an out of stock issue and it was not resolved in a timely manner. They finally took care of it but it took a month. When there is a better product out there for half the price I do feel ripped off. The only saving grace for me was the e-liquid. If I hadn't bought that and had been only introduced to their pre-filled carts I would probably have given up on e cigs entirely. So in my opinion I wouldn't have gone V2 if I had know better.

Hi freak... I started out with the V2 also.. and have upgraded twice since then (in three short months!) If you want something that will last I suggest the kGo.. I got mine from Virgin Vapors and I seriously love this thing. I'm a pretty heavy vaper and one batt lasts more than a day.. the threading is 510 but for less than $2 I got an adapter so I could use all the cartos that I had from the V2 and the Elite808 I have. There's just so much more out there in 510 threading.. and if you go with a tank system, you won't be topping off every hour or so.. photo.jpg
This is the burgundy one.. comes in a couple different colors... ain't she purdy?

I don't think I'd judge the carto as bad simply because you didn't care for the flavor of it... flavor is too subjective... just leave it as it was a flavor that didn't work for you and leave it at that since others will probably have their own opinion on the taste. I know I have several bottles of juice that many like and even rave about but they just didn't do it for me...

Pricing issues are also another tough area that is too easy to be judgemental on... I got both a Joyetech eGo-T and a 510-T and I don't have any regrets even though I know there are cheaper alternatives out there. I knew that Joyetech makes quality components so I wouldn't need to worry about the issues seen with other clones... I also know they spend a lot on R&D while the makers of the clones don't have that overhead. Another area that affects the end price we see is the size of the company itself... a larger company usually has more overhead to offset than a smaller company, because they are larger they are also less likely to go out of business which means I'm less likely to have to worry over where to source a good quality product from.

The other complaint you mention... service is really the main one IMO. Providing quality service of course adds to the cost of overhead ( and increases product costs ) but if they are charging more for their products... then I feel they should also stand behind the products more and not have their clients issues delayed as much before they are addressed. If you pay for a premium product... you should also be getting premium service to go with it.
