I agree with both Greg and Harpo...

The squeaky wheels are the ones you hear and pay attention to.

It's strange that some work fine and others do not. It's also hard for the users who's units work flawlessly to help those that do not... It turns into a big circle where nothing works. The unhappy get unhappier and the happy become annoid by the (what seem like) hate postings.

It truly is up to PureSmoker to solve these issues. Whether it's inaccurate machining tolerances or whatever... I'm sad to see the V2 be such a negative production run for Steve..

I've always had really good luck with the products and Customer Service I've recieved from PS and hope that the V3 is a unit that brings them back to the top where they belong.. (even with all the copying that I'm not too crazy about).

Obviously they had a bunch of complaints otherwise they would have kept the V2 design. If they really want to keep customers coming back they would design a fix for the V2. None of the fixes thus far have solved the problem. I do all the maintenance recommended and I still have to mess with my switch to get it to fire. There's many others in the same boat they just gave up on PS coming up with a fix.

I even bought the steel switch, and i still have to take it apart once a week and file the ring and contact posts. i haven't gotten around to buying oxguard or whatever for it. i work too much.

You guys should stick to selling juice which from what I have been interpreting, is the plan after the V3.

Makes more sense anyways. A mod is a one time sale (haha ok maybe 2 or 3 with you guys depending on how many switches one needs to buy) but the juice is what we keep coming back to buy. You'll make more money this way anyways.

It's the Noalox (or Oxguard) that you should be using about every 2 weeks, not filing the contact posts and disk weekly. The Noalox improves connectivity and prevents oxidation. All you have to do is apply a very small amount to the contact disc. Then in about 1.5 to 2 weeks, take it out, wipe off the old, and reapply. One bottle (available in the electrical section of your local hardware store) should last a very long time.

Steve has made absolutely no indication of this. PureSmoker is primarily a device company that also sells (and soon makes) juice in addition to PVs. The hardware -- including stock units (the Ace), mods (Protege, Prodigy, and an as-yet unnamed future device), and atomizers -- is their primary business.

I think I should start stating my sarcastic remarks as such.....sorry you interpreted that incorrectly. My bad haha.
