Hello my first post so a little back story first.

I've been vaping for just under 4 months now and haven't had a single puff of an analog since my first try at vaping. I smoked for 13 years and now am finally rid of it for good. I started by ordering a kit from V2 cigs but when that took too long I bought a no name brand kr808d-1 from my local asian mall. It worked well enough but when my kit came from V2 I loved it. Now they didn't offer juices for refill and they seem a tad overpriced so I tried a different company. Got 2 auto stealth series batteries from V4L and they are like vaping air! The holes under the threads are at least twice the diameter of my V2's and even the crap no name brand ones get a bigger hit! There is also three of them instead of 2. I have heard good things about V4L so was just wondering if maybe I got a bad batch or if I am doing something wrong. Any tips are appreciated.

No idea. I only buy manuals because I like the better hit and I like the batteries to be safer from being damaged or killed by juice leaks. Most people here use and recommend manuals. My manual V4L's are my best hitting slim batteries.

I do not like autos so I can't really help you with that. You are using your normal cartomizers?

Yeah they sent me 6 cartos with my purchase and i have many from my V2 sets and it doesn't seem to make any difference whatever which I use. Now that you mention the manual though I just looked at my manual V2 battery and it has the same 3 large holes under the threads while the auto has the 2 small ones. Perhape they used the wrong connector on this batch? Manual instead of auto?

Hmmm - there are two lights aren't there? One shows how much charge the PCC has?

Vapor4Life section
Vapor4Life

User Guide - explains PCC lights
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/58027-vaporking-user-guide.html

And for specific hardware problem w/ the batteries I recommend using their support ticket system on their site.

BTW also try the cartomizers from Bloogplanet or SMokelessImage - nice horizontal coil cartos, absorbent stuffing, easier but more vapory drag I think

And re battery holes - so you mean the tiny holes outside under the threads? I think my V4L manuals all have 4 holes - one every 90 degrees. I don't own any V4L autos.

And yes I did mean the tiny holes under the threads I assumed that was where the intake of air goes through the carto. I don't think I will be ordering too many cartos because I have like 80 already from V2. But I'm not sure if I want to continue using slim models. Would you recommend upgrading to something like an ego or a mod? If so what do you use/like/recommend?

Ego at 3.4v is less Voltage than KR808D-1

If you want a model that can vape your KR808D-1 cartos (using an adapter) at the heat you are used to, then you need something 3.7v

I recommend the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com only - press the 20% off upper left front page, then shop at the lowered prices. We know their Riva 510 kits are all new 3.7v stock from the correct Riva manufacturer ( the only one whose new models are 3.7v). Use any standard or low reisstance 510-threaded stuff (atomizers, cartomizers) on them and use a 510 to 808 adapter to vape the KR808D-1 cartomizers on it.

Heyas AlmightyDun,

Welcome to the ecf!

The joye ego and the eastmall riva both seem to be widely used and very well spoken of here. As for mods, there's a ton of them out there. It would depend on exactly what you're looking for.

I had looked at several reviews on the riva as well as an echo variable voltage kit from freedomsmokeusa.com would you recommend a variable voltage option? I have read very good things about the Riva. That runs 650 mah right? Would that be enough for a modest vaper to last a whole day in your opinion? As for mods I'm not too sure but I was looking at the GG slim and the Provari. Also looked at the silver bullet. Do you use mods? Are they THAT much better? And i can only seem to find 510 to 901 adapters anywhere but I read that they are compatable with 808's. Is this true?

You mean Jessy? Not real variable voltage. It's 2-stage voltage isn't it? Ah - hee is info" "I have done some research on the Jessy and this is a Variable Frequency device, not true VV. Your "S" model is 3.7 volts on high and 3.5 volts on low. The Jessy X and Jessy M have 3 settings (3.7, 3.6 and 3.5) and though it is only a .1 volt variance, the frequency output changes and so does the flavor and vapor. "

I prefer the Ego (clone) 3-stage from GotVapes.com which goes 3.2-3.7-4.2 (because I use standard resistance stuff so anything below 3.7 is useless to me) but they are pricy. But I mostly just leave the Ego (clone) 3-stage at 3.7v so it wasn't worth the cost for me. if you were using LR attachments it would let you have wider control over the heat than Jessy would.

Real variable voltage goes continuously variable from 3 to 6 or 7 volts and are mods (removable industrial batteries)

I don't have any of the ego type vv batts, but do have an ego type vv passthrough that seems to be the same technology. Just a passthrough though, no batt. It seems to work really well, but I hate feeling like I'm on a leash, so don't use it too often. But it was cheap, and was a Shiney New Toy, so...

As for mods, the Provari and the Darwin seem to be reguarded as the holy grails, as far as functionality goes. But, you're gonna be dropping over $200 just for the pv, batts, charger. Plus the darwin seems to be available for about half a day every few weeks, and is promptly sold out. Then add in atties, cartos, etc. And juice. And possibly spare batts, in the case of the provari.

Are mods really that good? I only own 2 mods. A boge revolution v2.1 (3.7vv bottom feeder box mod) which works well enough, but performs about on par with my ego and is alot bulkier, so I don't use it much.

My other mod I just got Saturday, an infinity pro (3.3v-5.5v vv tube mod). And yes, I love it! However, I don't see it completely replacing my ego. The ego is just too handy, and is a solid performer all around. And the I Pro is quite a bit bulkier than even the 1000mah ego. And the provari is bulkier yet. Basically, as with anything, there are tradeoffs.

It all kinda depends on how fast and how deep you want to dive in :p

:D

Hope this helps,
