Born is right. My first two manuals were like that. I emailed Valerie, by the time the replacements arrived, both batteries were working fine. I sent the replacements back...

That doesn't mean that yours isn't bad. I just had no prior experience with the manuals. They'll replace it if it's bad. They always do. I've discoveed that it takes at least 4-5 charges to really know how the battery works. Good luck.

I ordered six different manuals at one time, and two had button problems sticking and were just not working right. V4L replaced them, and by the time I got the replacements the manual buttons were working great on the two batteries I had them replace. I felt bad. Maybe using it for a few days will resolve the issue ~ if not they are great about replacement.

Just wanted to post that I had a battery issue recently as well and they are excellent at taking care of these things. Excellent customer service. I was a little upset since I was so anxiously awaiting arrival, but I know it isn't V4L's fault that it arrived not working. It's just the luck of the draw. But, I will however try charging it again and see if the button does any better today. Maybe it was just being new? I don't know. It wouldn't turn off the other day and I had to go to work, leaving it on until it just sort of ran out I guess. But either way, they really are a great company to work with and always seem to provide great service. And always throw in a few cartos in flavors I've never tried and I love that. Good luck. Let us know how the new one does.

I have a question about v4l's manual batts. Didn't want to start a new thread and thought this thread would be fitting.

Are they sealed? Or at least are they supposed to be?

Many say they are sealed but both of mine for sure are not. If I look through the center hole I can see a clear opening and the wires. Another test I did was putting my mouth over the ash/led cap, holding the button, and blowing. You can see vapor come out of the carto. I don't even have to blow hard.

Message to newbs: Don't try blowing through the carto hole to see vape come out of the ash/led cap. You'll see smoke but may also blow juice into the battery.

Any thoughts? The v4l guide states that the autos aren't sealed, implying that the manuals are, which is why I got them to drip with. Was looking for a concrete answer before. Thanks.

The V4L manuals are sealed.

You will also see vapor come out of the carto without blowing at all if you're holding the button, of course. Vapor is just a gas with particulates. And gas, of course, expands. And since they're sealed - where does it expand to? The airway. And that's why you'll see vapor when you hold the button down and do nothing else.
