i have seen your insomnia posts, you gotta figure out a way to get some sleeps! if sedation is not an option, perhaps physical activity, jumping jacks or a long walk to tire yourself out? idk, i have battled it in the past and always succumbed to chemical intervention. 4th on friday would be goin to delectables, Dj Toby Robets from KXCI will be playing inside, along with one of my guys, fracataclity. Seth Myles (another tru-vibe dj) and Elektra Tek outside, house music baby!

The insomnia isn't always this bad. Sometimes I even sleep a whole night! Its just the last couple weeks have been really bad. I've never tried a sleeping pill I liked. They screw up my brain for a lot longer than they're supposed to. I was thinking about it last night, and it occurs to me that manic-depression runs in my family, and while I am not m/d to the best of my knowledge, one of the things that is very common during manic phases is insomnia. I wonder if the same brain chemistry thing is at work in my insomnia issues. Unfortunately, even if it is, a doctor would just want to give me sleeping pills or send me to a psychiatrist who would want to give me some other kind of pills. I sort of like being able to think, so pills are not a very good option. A long walk? I walk for miles at work. I walk for 6-8 hours and come home wide awake. The only thing that has consistently worked for me was a particular illicit substance that i no longer ingest. I could go get a prescription for said substance, but now that I have quit it kinda seems counter-productive to start up again.
Maybe Friday, if I don't get called in, we could meet down there for a while. Sounds like you will be having some fun.

 EXCUSE "ME" ! ! ! !

If anyone is the "Straight-MAN" when it comes to comedy around here it's . . . .

WAIT . . .

Hold On . . .

Cough . . .

Cough . . .

Cough . . . (Takes Drink of Water & Clears Throat ) . . . .

Wait . . .

Now Here It Comes . . .

It is . . .

"Lisa" . . . :D
(And maybe - just maybe, since they like to set people up for a good HIT every now & then - "akatina"' . . . ;))

o_O Well... I've never seen myself as a straight man, more of a crooked woman =]

... I am more then willing to have and accept "Boardo" and a few others here as "My" Brothers . . . AND - "You" and a few of the other Women here as "Sisters" too . . . As far as I am concerned can never ever have to many "Brothers & Sisters" to help you survive the long haul that they call - LIFE . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

Ditto! Some of you, I see as younger siblings I never had an older sibling, so no spots open for that =] Younger sibling is as close as I can get to seeing some of you noodleheads as my own children :p

Some, I see as the dearest of friends as we have some magnificently wonderful humans in our midst =]

Playing catch up, be back in a bit!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

3: It is taking a chunk out of my a#@..... My sinuses acted up after mowing on Sunday, on Monday my right eye was swelling and hard to close. Today a front comes in and there is nothing but 40 mile an hour winds with dirt and sand, never stood a chance. My whole right side of my face is not responding.

Holy Hell, tiggerrts! Hang in there... those are some God-awful allergies!

Hey Lisa I see you lurking! Goodnite I'm going to try to lay down, have a great evening ALL!

Hey jpf880! I was upstairs at a desk there =] One hour there until a replacement comes in and then I come to the 1st floor to cover this department's desk... this is the boring desk :/ They used to have A LOT of stuff to do down here, then ppl on days griped and griped, so they made everything automated... now I wait for them to get laid off since they have nothing to do :/

Nighters jpf880, StrangeShay, and anyone else - rest easy!

50 years despising celery and now I can't stop eating it...
Well, I am a bit of a freak... I have hated the taste of celery all of my life. Smelled bad, tasted bad, hated it... I went celery a few months ago for another of my 'Go Vegan & Cleanse Your Body' meal plans that I do. Suddenly celery tasted so good... I couldn't understand it. Now I crave it and when I don't have it I think 'OMG! I didn't get celery! and I race to the store for some' That being said, I just ate 1/2 a head of celery here at the desk... as a snack. I didn't even eat my lunch, just ate almost a quart bag of celery. I had to stop myself to save some for later. Now I wasn't thinking too much about this TBH, I just thought, 'Eh, I am getting older, people change as they age, the body changes, the mind falters, surely eating habits and preferences change as well'.

Paranoia
But, I just realized something... we do a lot of freaky things with food & animals these days. We split this cell, zap that one, bond carrots with beets, cauliflower with broccoli, make this one completely insect resistant, that one attracts ants now, higher this and lower that... anyway, maybe they screwed with celery and now I am a lab rat... :'( TBH I try not to think about these changes because I don't like them AT ALL and we do them, in a big way... a BIG WAY...

Statistics
But, the USA is obese... so what better way to fight the sugar and corn and flour that they have forced down our throats in school lunches for years than to make some vegetables like celery so appealing that we get addicted to it? Like a cigarette addiction... just like putting a bit of that freaky white powder in this cough syrup and selling it as an elixir, put these drugs in cigarettes and make billions of dollars, put xyz in celery and save the USA... isn't this the way we do things? They don't tell anyone, they just do it and get the job done, make these fatties lose some weight since they can't be trusted to do it on their own.

Sodom & Gomorrah
I feel like my Grandfather saying, 'Why does this say NATURAL?!?!?!?! Who says this is natural??? Do I grow this in a garden? Do I pluck this from a tree? NO! Then it is NOT NATURAL! Ahhhh, the price man will pay in the end' :'(

#1 Hi, Lisa! Astute as always, I see. Unfortunately, I don't see how we can get away from the poisons of modern society. We have the lovely air we breathe full of toxins, the processed, hormonally injected, and genetically altered food we eat (did you know that large portions of the world won't import any US meat?), the micro and radio waves being constantly shot around and through us, the cultural and social programming that tells us its all ok, the "education" system. Its enough to make you run screaming into the night, but they give us lots of fun toys to distract us, so its all just fine....

Anyway, getting down off this well-worn soapbox now. The celery thing is funny to me. I remember discussing celery with you a while back when we were having a foodie convo. One nice thing about celery (and lettuce): you could eat it forever and never gain a pound. And probably be more hydrated, too.

Sorry, was away from the desk for a bit. I was going for paranoid, then you pointed out more stuff! :p Yeah, what you say is certainly true... and I was thinking about the celery hydration issue as well... like eating watermelon, sooooooooooooo good in the summer... maybe that's it, it hydrates me so I am dying for it!

I've got to pop off for a bit to check the animals, rattle the cages and such... be back in a bit.

Oh, and I am rocking my Bolt with an M3 filled with some odd juice :/ Planning on dumping it for a cinnamon if I have one in my gear.

#2 I've been thinking about picking up some M3s since you seem to like them. Give them a try. I am a carto user for the most part. I use vision novas and T2s occasionally. I drip when testing new juices or mixing. Currently rocking the VTube with my vvv polypro full of nillabacco. When I first started vaping, I hated tobacco flavors. Now it seems to be pretty much all I vape. At least recently. About once or twice a day I grab something else and enjoy that for a while, then back to a tobacco. I still miss my fave ry4, though.

I have some nasty juices here at work :/ Got a Spearmint something or other... nasty, but better than the alternatives :p I should have brought my tank with with me, it had Chic's Ambrosia mixed with Gumby Juice the last I vaped it and that was delish!

I like the M3s, they are pretty small at only 1ml, but I get great flavor in them and I haven't had any of them die on my until months of getting gunked with juice. I usually clean them by soaking in vinegar and then alcohol 2-3 times and then trash them. The BAD THINGS about M3s:

1. they are polycarb, so they will turn white from rough juice
2. you have to watch out for your more powerful PV, my SB will burn the heck out of them - pick higher oHm
3. and finally, sometimes the mouth-piece will come off if you have it in your pocket all of the time like I do. I lost a mouth-piece a few days ago... 1st time I did that.

This guy rewicks them, but I just toss them...

#3 I've always just been really disappointed in the performance of clearos. They drove me to dripping when I first started vaping. I really hate the Stardust/CEwhatever clearos my local b&m sells. They suck. Its what I started on and it didn't take me long to get seriously frustrated with the lack of vapor, tight draw, wicking issues and dry hits. Dripping has its own set of hassles. Its messy, for one. You can't just fill and go. I want to try those new mesh wick clearos. Curious if they work better. For the most part though, I ge really good results with cartos and am very glad I switched, especially now that I discovered carto tanks. All the convenience of a clearo plus the performance and low cost of cartos. I'm a happy vaper!! :vapor: :D

The draw on the M3s may be what you consider a bit tight... not locked closed, but at least tighter than the clearo tanks. Tanks are way too airy a draw for me, I like a tighter draw, personally. If you want to, we do a PIF swap, you get a DIY juice package together for me and I'll send you some M3s to test out - I have the lower oHm as well as the 3.0 oHm.

BTW one thing I noticed about them and that I personally like is that the top mouth-piece section gets condensation in it and as you draw in air, you may get juice on your lips or in your mouth. I have heard it called a 'Wet Vape'. I am a bit crazy about it with my tart and sour green apple and won't waste my green apple by putting it in anything else since I like this 'wet vape' experience.
