50 years despising celery and now I can't stop eating it...
Well, I am a bit of a freak... I have hated the taste of celery all of my life. Smelled bad, tasted bad, hated it... I went celery a few months ago for another of my 'Go Vegan & Cleanse Your Body' meal plans that I do. Suddenly celery tasted so good... I couldn't understand it. Now I crave it and when I don't have it I think 'OMG! I didn't get celery! and I race to the store for some' That being said, I just ate 1/2 a head of celery here at the desk... as a snack. I didn't even eat my lunch, just ate almost a quart bag of celery. I had to stop myself to save some for later. Now I wasn't thinking too much about this TBH, I just thought, 'Eh, I am getting older, people change as they age, the body changes, the mind falters, surely eating habits and preferences change as well'.
Paranoia
But, I just realized something... we do a lot of freaky things with food & animals these days. We split this cell, zap that one, bond carrots with beets, cauliflower with broccoli, make this one completely insect resistant, that one attracts ants now, higher this and lower that... anyway, maybe they screwed with celery and now I am a lab rat... :'( TBH I try not to think about these changes because I don't like them AT ALL and we do them, in a big way... a BIG WAY...
Statistics
But, the USA is obese... so what better way to fight the sugar and corn and flour that they have forced down our throats in school lunches for years than to make some vegetables like celery so appealing that we get addicted to it? Like a cigarette addiction... just like putting a bit of that freaky white powder in this cough syrup and selling it as an elixir, put these drugs in cigarettes and make billions of dollars, put xyz in celery and save the USA... isn't this the way we do things? They don't tell anyone, they just do it and get the job done, make these fatties lose some weight since they can't be trusted to do it on their own.
Sodom & Gomorrah
I feel like my Grandfather saying, 'Why does this say NATURAL?!?!?!?! Who says this is natural??? Do I grow this in a garden? Do I pluck this from a tree? NO! Then it is NOT NATURAL! Ahhhh, the price man will pay in the end' :'(
