Vamo gun metal finish wearing off

Vamo is vaping great, no probs so far (knock wood) but the finish is kinda wearing off on the back. my question is, can you cold blue it back to original? i had an old M1911A that i hit with a wire wheel and a walmart special cold blue kit, still have the kit and was wondering if it would work the same?

Having same issue with mine. Don't think the bluing will work, since I believe the body tube is not steel. Bluing is just a special kinda of oxidation, and will only work on something with iron in it.

Sanded unevenly, and polish, try to get a cute antique look,, if you failed sanded complete rub with a scotch metal sponge polish a bit and create a brushed finished

I bought the carbon vinyls from ebay. Cut it with a cutting tool using a template in the forums and pasted on my vamo. Far more cheaper than the J wraps.

I have the SS model so I'm not concerned about looks but do the wraps add a better grip. I worry about it just slipping out of my hands some times.
