I have the new SS vamo as of Monday---works great and love the features. I do have one issue that's bugging the hell out of me though. The connection is either not center or leaning (or both) and makes it difficult to use clearomizers (not the Kanger type either). When screwing the clearomizers in it rubs against one side of the cup opening. Sure, I can take a dremel tool and take a little off the cup opening, but it's not going to fix the slight lean to the connection.

So, my question to anyone out there is---have you taken the top cup portion of the Vamo off? I'd like to get a closer look at the connection to see what the problem is before breaking out the tools.

I screwed on a tank to show the lean, but no matter how small I shrink it on photobucket it says it's too big.

My advice is to take advantage of your warranty and have the unit replaced. If you're worried about not having a device while the replacement process completes; talk to your vendor about a cross-ship using your credit card number for their security. When your warranty is expired you can hack away at the device to your hearts content.

I opened a ticket. I just hate to pay shipping back to the vendor. Here's another couple of closeups of clearomizers rubbing on the cup opening.

Pic 1 - No rubbing
Pic 2 - Ouch

Sucks..I was in your shoes with a lavatube back in the day, annoyed the hell out of me, tried taking the head off and broke the plastic, was even more annoyed so I threw it in the woods... Return it

You have got to be kidding me. I received my replacement Vamo the other day and it also has a tilted 510 connection. Is it too much to ask for a little QC these days? I'm about to throw both in the woods.
