My vamo gets heat up for about 4 consecutive long drags.. . i dont want to order another end cap which will cost me much for the shipping so i would like to do a DIY Spring for my Vamo..

Just like to ask if Copper is the best option out there? Where i can get a copper?

Here in Philippines a lot of APV's has a copper connection for better connectivity and power.

I have not tried one myself but I recall someone mentioning that a spring from a flashlight that takes "C" batteries will work. Also, if you have a good hardware store they would probably have a compression spring that would work. The replacement hot springs I ordered plus the one from the one I got from Health Cabin as a replacement for my SS VAMO are copper.

As long as the spring isn't too big, then yes any type of flashlight spring should work. Copper would be my first choice for material. I don't know that I would steal the spring from something like a Mag Light, just cause buying a mag light to steal the spring is a bit expensive... But maybe one of those cheapie plastic flashlights...

If a suitable replacement spring can't be found locally, you could easily add some wire to your current spring.

Not pretty, but it solves the issue of poor conductivity with the original "big spring".

I found out the symptoms of a weak spring first hand here recently. I was vaping a 2.8 ohm coil at 6.5-7 watts that I normally I vape around 4-5 watts. The bottom of my vamo was getting warm. My batteries were not lasting as long.

I have the small wimpy spring in my vamo. I used the wire trick on my spring this morning and now the vamo is staying cool under heavy use. I'm back to vaping at 4 watts with more vapor than before and my battery is still at 3.9 volts. Before I added the wire my battery would be at 3.6v around this time of day.

Thanks for the tip!
