I have a SS Vamo and a gunmetal Vamo. I primarily use stacked 18350's but I have a few 18650's lying around as well. Presently using the 18350's I have not noticed any heat coming from the base of the unit during vaping. But last night I threw in an 18650 and immediately noticed the bottom of the Vamo (near the end cap) getting warm.

What's the reasoning behind this?

Also, I was not going to worry about a new spring but if I ever decide to use 18650's I don't want the heat issue to be a problem, so should I go ahead and contact the vendor about getting a replacement spring? Thanks.

Umm same problem here, I'd logged in to check for this exact problem.

With 2 stacked 18350s (came with my TW Screwdriver) cracking performance, cold bottom cap. Genesis tank would put a steam train to shame

With a single AW 18650 IMR (brand new) or one or the above 18350s - warm cap and seriously lacking performance.

Batteries charged with a Nitecore I4 and check out nicely with a meter.
