Vamo neck carry

I posted in another thread about using a mini maglite case (AA type). Well, I modified the case by burning holes in it with a soldering iron. I could have done a better job but, oh well. Vamo fits nice and snug! Here it is in short mode. Just thought I would share.

Yah, it works really well. However, the buttons can actually catch a little on the openings going in, so I rotate the Vamo so the buttons are about 90 degrees to the openings and slide it in. Once the Vamo is all the way in, I just rotate it to position the buttons into the holes. By the way, although you can't see it in the photo, I burnt a vent hole at the bottom of the case.

I am thinking of making my own neck case this weekend. Will probably use black leather for the case, and some paracord for the necklace.

I was going to make one out of leather too but this is my "fishing carry" so the nylon is perfect. Other than fishing, I don't see myself carrying my Vamo around on my neck.
