Sounds similar to what happened to mine that is also over a year old. At the end, I was using it at 15 watts, and it still took forever for the coil to even heat up and start producing vapor.

I'm not too technically inclined, so I just bought a new whole Vamo.

But I'm interested to see what replies you get for a possible fix. I didn't throw my old Vamo out, so if it's able to be fixed, I would keep it running as a back up.

Kinda sucks. I loved my vamo. I cannot get it to run properly and I don't feel like I should have to drop another $100 on a mod that's less than a year old.
Huh? A new Vamo, in the more expensive Stainless steel, is only $33 from FastTech.

Before you give up on your vamo try doing the following:
Using isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls/qtip for cleaning
Remove the battery cap
Remove the spring from the battery cap
Clean the cap to spring contact surfaces and cap threads
Clean the spring to battery contact surface
Remove all threaded battery extension tubes (v1, v2, v4, v5 - one tube, V3 - two tubes)
Clean the battery tube threads, both internal and external
Clean the control module battery pin
Clean the 510 and ego (tank connector) threads
Reassemble and give it a vape.
Good Luck
