I have been going back and forth for weeks now.

I am currently using 1 SI 650 X2 and 1 SI 650 Spinner both with T3s exclusively. I'm totally satisfied, but kinda getting interested into the "hobby" aspect of vaping. I am wanting to venture into mod-land, but am totally torn.

To me the Lavatube V2 (genuine new style Volcano, not a Lambo or YJ looking deal) is the absolute best looking mod on the market! NOTHING looks better to me! However, it doesn't have VW. I like the Vamo only because it would be the cheapest way to get into VW, and it's packed with features! But to me it looks like someone went out to the shed and grabbed some spare parts.

With how fast things change, I'm figuring there'll be some new cool devices coming along any time now. Which again makes me torn (with how similar the layout and chip-set of the Vamo and LTv2 are, could a VV/VW LT come along?) I guess I just want to know what you APV users think. Is the fact that I love the look of the LTv2 and would proudly vape it just so people would be in awe of my beautiful mod be enough to offset the fact that it doesn't offer VW? Or, should I take out a Vamo in mini single 18350 mode and stealth vape satisfied that I have so many features, but all the while hoping no one sees it... Will I really be missing something by not having VW? (Keep in mind, this is just my opinion of the two, just my flavor. I mean no disrespect to anyone who owns either, just my aesthetic opinion.)

Edit: Also, on the "hobby" topic (rba's), are the ohm/battery meters in either device accurate enough to use as my ONLY stacked-batt-charge/rba-ohm checker?

Thanks in advance to all who view/respond!!!

If it was me i would choose the LT2 over the Vamo, just because it is a more solid MOD.The VV over having both together, you will still be able to set the voltage to whatever you want, just not watts, that's all.And yes you can use the LT to check your res. of any atty,carto,etc.. you have attatched.I do not like the look of the Vamo either so you are not the only one.It does fall into that cheaper bracket of VV/VW devices which is why so many are flocking to it.

EDIT: I am not trying to sway you one way or the other with that first statement i made, just the way i feel about the two devices.

Saul Goode! Lol.. I am looking for opinions here, so your input is graciously accepted! (Just hope you're not upset that I'm looking for a larger volume of opinions before I put my cash on the line lol)...
Edit: If ya couldn't tell I'm leaning towards your view! That LTv2 looks sooooooooooooo damn good! lol

I can only speak for the ohms check on the Vamo as I haven't tried the lavatube ohms check. I've checked the ohms of my AGA-T+ on the Vamo and that was fine. If you wrap a coil below 1.2 ohms then you will be below the cut off.

If the only thing holding you back with the Vamo is the form factor you can get all the same features in another mod that you may like the look of better. There are, as you said, some other devices out that have all the features of the Vamo too. I've got my eye on one of them as a possible 1 year smokefree anniversary mod - since my anniversary is coming up soon.

I prefer the Stainless Steel Vamo to the LT v2... Especially in "shorty" mode

The Lavatube V2 is a bit too fat for my tastes...

Functionally they work almost identical to each other. I don't notice any difference between the vape quality from one to another.

Between these two APV's, I would say it is going to strictly be a preference of which looks better to you, in which case I would imagine you're mind is made up! :)

I don't think you will be disappointed not having VW on the Lavatube. It's nice to have, but the Lavatube will still do everything else the Vamo can do...

You also get a 1 year warranty with the Lavatube from Volcano... Won't find that on a Vamo...

My stainless steel Vamo is rock solid, I use it more than my ProVari. Haven't tried the V2 Lavatube, but it looks great. My only knock on the Vamo is the length, I just can't get used to it in 18650 mode, so I mainly use it in an 18350 set up. I think you'll get more functionally with a Vamo but at the end of the day, if you hate the look of it, get the Lavatube.

I dove in head first about a month ago and got a blue Lavatube v2... I love it! I also got into RBA's soon after and it works great on the Lavatube. Although I havent had a VW device I dont see the advantage. You cant set the VV or the VW... its one or the other. I also like the lanyard that you can get because I can just carry it around without stuffing it in a pocket. If I ever get another mod it will be a Provari, but I dont see that happening any time soon because I am fully content with the Lavatube. I honesty dont understand why the Lavatube V2 doesnt get much love here on ECF... its a great device!
