Vamo or SVD

I have both a Vamo V2 and an SVD in the house. I personally prefer the SVD hands down but there are considerations. In the SVDs favor I would spend a long time typing so lets just go with the one potential downfall I have encountered. The SVD has had issues with some delivery systems and they worked just fine with the Vamo. This happens mostly with the Kanger Protank v.1 and the T3S. As far as I can tell tweaking the positive post on the clearo.tank abates this. In all other ways I have found the SVD superior. It is telescoping not a set of tubes so battery swaps are much less tiresome on the go. The abslolute single thing that sways me in practicle terms is the ability to remove the top collar on the SVD in order to fit larger diameter clearos that the Vamo requires an adapter for. This alos makes cleaning and maintenance much easier. I am not hard on my gear but in less than 4 months use the Vamo is showing thread wear issues while SVD is still just like new. Subjectively I would also say the SVD delivers a more consistent better vape, but that is purely an individual thing and they may seem the same to you. Issues aside either one make an excellent entry into vv/vw or a great additional device for the experienced vaper.

Welcome..head on over to the library...6 part introduction on the newest latest and greatest personal vape stuff

The ECF Library

I personally have the economical Vamo V3, runs like a champ and didn't break the bank...if it goes to poo on me..well...I can always "upgrade"

Top of the line is probably going to be the Provari...hands down (Vamo vs Provari is like VW Bug vs Porsche 911)
Both will get the job done...but you won't cry if you wrap your Vamo around a tree (drop it ;) )

Most utilitarian and multi-function goes to INNOKIN iTaste MVP (even though it's boxy like a pack o' cigs)

Can't speak for the SVD, but I do have a couple Vamos, and they perform great. They're not the most durable mods out there, but if you take care of them, they work well and provide an excellent vaping experience. Also the SID might be worth checking out. I picked mine up for around 30 bucks, and it provides a pretty stellar performance.. If you're anything like me, you'll eventually end up buying them all anyway, so you might as well just pick one and see what you think. Lol

Good luck!

I have both:
Pros for vamo v2: looks nice, vapes as good as other mods, fits about everything you can put on it(in my experience), can takes 18650 or 18350 battery.

Cons: I dropped it once and it bent(was able to fix it but was traumatic) the chrome version started wearing rally fast, and you can't take the top off.

Pros for svd: very nice looking, telescopes to fit batteries, works great, you can put about anything on top and it fires, feels very sturdy had not broken or bent in the 2 months I've had it.

Cons: I hate the bottom part it's very rough and feels weird in my hands, menu system is a little weird.

My vote would go to the SVD as that's what I'm vaping as I type this out and I've not had any issues with any tank I've placed on it (Protank, Protank II, MT3S or TS3's). It's simple, easy to use and fits nicely in my hand.

That said, the SVD can use either or when it comes to batteries. I prefer flat-top personally.

The Vamo, IIRC, works with both as well, though I've seen a few issues where flat-top's don't work as well, or the spring needs to be stretched a bit to keep the connection. It could be isolated and *all* manufacturers have their defects, so an issue with a few doesn't mean it's an actual issue for the device.

This is the set that I got. The charger is excellent, and the Panosonic batts are still running strong. Highly recommended.

Vamo v3 Starter Kit (Charger & Batteries) $53.63 | gotsmok.com

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this (and accept my sincerest apologies), but I'm under the impression that GotSmok.com is a site that doesn't sell anything directly. The deal above would actually be ordered from Fastteck in China. Is this correct folks?

I actually ordered and received the same deal just a few weeks ago (except the satin SS kit for $58~, that's not even remotely pricey, but if you want I think you can get just the vamo 3 for $38 and try and find your own charger and two batteries for $20). As my first, and so far only upgrade from ego c's (only because I haven't received my last three orders from fasttech as of yet), I like it very much, but am just very careful with the threads as they do seem somewhat douche'y (and also just a tad crooked). But, it's really cool baby, and really cheap! As is everything from fastteck. I swear I want one of everything!

For someone on a tight budget, broke, or just really cheap, I'd recommend it. The only drawback being everything seems to be backed up in China right now. So if you need it fast, fasttech might not be the way to go.

best regards, larry mac

p.s. I see some comments about the vamo 1, or vamo 2. I don't think they are pertinent to the current conversation, as the vamo 3 is out folks. That's the one I got. Don't see why anyone would order an older model, as they seem to have updated the design to address the shortcomings of the older models, and at the same time add improvements. It's a no brainer people!

Do the stacked 350's have to be the flat top style?

On the SVD I'm fairly sure you can use either. The one I have only came with one telescopic tube and it's huge. I use 18650's right now, but given the performance peaks with the dual-battery setup, I may swap out and see if there's a real difference.
