I just got my Vamo this past Thursday and have been very impressed with it. Until I got it I was using a Twist and the variable watts of the Vamo blows the Twist away.

vamo bottom cap always get hot...why? becoz of the spring?

Mine doesn't get hot.
But observed, especially with the black-chrome version (or gun metal.. whatever you wanna refer it to as), the extension cap for the 18650 batteries do suffer from some heat soak discolouration. Funny. Mine's okay so far.

Yes, it will be because of the spring. Contact your vendor for a replacement spring or you can buy new end caps with the new spring from a few places.
