I recently ordered a vamo from exhalevapors. When I got it and screwed on a tank, the tank screwed on crookedly(if that makes sense lol). It would be crooked one way then the other then when it was all the way on it would be straight. Now my protank won't screw on. It does screw on other apvs though. Is the protank stripped? Is this the way the vamo is or is mine faulty? Would like to know what's going on so I can decide if I should send it back or if that's the way the vamo is. Thanks all.

If it fits on your other APVs then i would think its the vamo threads. Will any other tanks screw on to your vamo? If not then i would say that the vamo is the problem.
That's what's kinda of weird. Other things will screw onto the vamo. They all screw on crooked though but do go on. And the protank screws onto other apvs.

I have a Vamo and i noticed that when I screw anythign on it. cartos clearos etc.. that even when threading you can rock it back and forth but if you make sure you have screwed it down securely all the way it tightens up and straightens out. I noticed it first on the clearos that came with it but i gave it an extra turn and it seated properly and all was fine. With cartos I always screw them on by themselves first then back them out a little and retighten and then add the tank to it. Hope this helps.

my protank works great on my vamo. :)

tried to upload a pic.... wont let me

I have however heard of a few people having threading issues on the vamo, saying the threading was a bit sharp edged and was fixed with a light sand paper sanding. might do some research into this further.

The sandpaper trick worked well, but that was the threading on on the extension pieces not on the tank conector threading. mine rocks around a little but after it is snug all the way down it straightens and stops rocking around.

Protanks work fine on Vamos. There is a trick though. The Vamo threads are indeed sharp. So once your clearo (any kind) has begun to thread, apply light negative pressure, meaning pull the clearo away lightly as you turn to tighten. Basically, as you tighten, allow the threads to pull the clearo into place. No need to twist tight, just snug.

I really don't have any issues described here, other than a slight "rocking" sometimes, it's almost non existent and only does on smoktech dual coil cartos (which I hardly ever use)....only reason I noticed it because I'm strictly a carto guy and have numerous tanks - but don't really like dual coil...only in emergency situations

i got a ss vamo v2 from exhalevapors recently too and fortunately i don't have that problem. what i did notice tho was that the thickness of the outer rim around the 510 connector is not the same. the area aligned with the fire button is a little thinner than the rest. now i'm beginning to think that exhalevapors got a bunch of rejects that's why they were able to sell it for cheap. i'd hate to see what the ones from fasttech looks like.

Still no work from exhalevapors , not even a "hey we got your message and will let you know soon". Tried calling no answer. Will not be ordering from them again once I get this issue straighten out.

It took them about a day and half to get back to me... both times I sent them a request or information. They resolve my issue pretty quickly, but mune wasnt too hard to fix anyways. I received the new bottom cap in two days (6 days after original order) and all is well for me.

This happened to my lavatube. I was using a DCT tank and it was a bit crooked and wobbly at times I didn't think anything of it as it was mostly threaded onto the lavatube. After 2 weeks of using the DCT it got more wobbly. I attempted switched to my smoktech cartos and they wouldn't thread on anymore. The wobbliness slowly killed my threads in my lavatube. The place I purchased my lavatube and DCT said it was my fault.

Lesson learned for me is if it doesn't fit snug then I'm not going to use it. Not all 510 threads are equal.
