Hi guys. I just got my Vamo V3 and Kanger Protank in the mail the other day, and if I screw the Protank on all the way then it becomes virtually air-tight and won't pull/drag at all. If I unscrew it a bit, it gradually allows me to puff on the device (more and more as I unscrew further). What gives, and how can I fix this??? (I think it is just a Protank1, because that's all it says on it and on my receipt.)

Did the PT1 come with the conical beauty ring? ie this:

I tried loosening the atomizer! Thanks for the tip though. (I will note however that when I first got my setup I tried a new atomizer and it worked just fine for a day or two, then back to air-tight.)

xtwosm0kesx, it did come with a beauty ring but I couldn't figure out what to do with it. I still have it here though -- is that the solution to my problem?

Unscrew the removable ring from your VAMO, and thread the beauty ring onto the eGo threading so that wider end is at the top. Screw it down just far enough so that the top of the beauty ring is just barely above the top of the 510 connection. Then screw the top ring of the VAMO back on all the way down (over the beauty ring, it will fit inside of it), and thread on your Protank. It should stop screwing down and lock into place when it hits the top of the beauty ring.

That will prevent you from over tightening it. Play with the height of the beauty ring a little so that it's giving you a good connection and a vape that's airy enough for your liking.

It could be, try the following:

Remove the ato from you vamo, then remove the beveled top cap, exposing the Vamo's ego threads.

Install the PT beauty ring, wide end facing up, on the Vamo.

Reinstall the beveled top-cap and using a finger screw the cone/beauty ring upwards, until its wide rim is just slightly higher than the 510 connection post (look across it horizontally).

Now screw on your PT till it seats against the wide end of the beauty ring.

This should allow the PT to sit higher, while still being supported, and fills the slight gap.

Protank is screwing down to far. The air holess are being blocked by the 510 connector. Take a look at he location to see what I mean. 3 holes on side of Protank 510 extension.
I use a tank support ring to adjust and prevent this from happening and give the tank rigidity.

How does that screw in? into the 510 connector? Would that work on a Sigelei 19 that is having the same problem as OP is stating?

that is just a temporary solution.
I have the same issue like OP on all my APV.
I think there is a bad batch of PT2.
Me thinks only way to fix this is buy a PT1 base.

Yeah I heard that too... I actually just ordered a new protank base and I'll let you know if that fixes the issue on my Sigelei 19B when it comes (probably be the weekend)

I was having the same problem with my PT1, but not the PT2 on my SID and eGo twist.

Does your PT have the removable or fixed drip tip (mouthpiece)?

I ordered the PT2 base for the PT1, fixed the problem nicely.

That confirms the problem is in the base región ni matter if it's PT1 Or PT2

The PT2 has the better base.

May be surprised. Unless they found unobtainium to make them from. They are not SS and the machining spec had to remain the same for fit so the 510 is identical with exception of the smaller holes.
The only strength gain is in the fact the holes are smaller, leaving more metal in the 510 shaft.
