Got my Vamo v5 today. Thrilled to bits I am.
Having lurked and read a lot before buying I was expecting some problems. I have none.
The one thing that concerned me was the threading issue. I was prepared for that. Once I had the device in hand I started looking at my supplies to see what might work.

A beauty ring 14-15mm. I ordered it to fit my mini vivi nova onto an ego battery. It does THAT very nicely. Thank you.
On the Vamo I found these things are great for filling the space between the top ring and the 510 post. Screws onto the ego thread. Leave a cats hair up from the post and put on your atty. Check your ohms. If no contact, lower it a quarter turn. Rinse and repeat for desired result.
Instead of balancing a 15mm+ atty on a 9mm post it sits on a 15mm base. Less likely to ruin your threads if it gets bumped. Also fills in the gap. Looks like it belongs. There are other colors. But I prefer the black.
I've tried it with the mini, a protank and iclear 30B. They all look and feel solid.

I still have two Vamo V2s that work great and the threads have been no problem for me. Gosh - I am amazed there is a V5 when I stop and think about that. Same chip as I understand it - a few small differences on the outer mod casing I think.
