Sorry for creating this thread, but it's an urgent matter - as I'm afraid of a malfunction IF it's not the correct power cord for the Nitecore i2.

If you purchased the Vamo V2 (US kit) from fasttech ( click H E R E ) , could you please look at the power cord... and let me know if it has the following words written on it?

PVC YOUZHI JULUYIXI JUEYUAN DIANXIAN 250/300V

Just need to confirm it's the correct cord. If it's not, I'll have to contact FT immediately.

SupplyDaddy already confirmed it's written on his, so I thank you sir for your help.

What are the words? What is the issue?

Words are : PVC YOUZHI JULUYIXI JUEYUAN DIANXIAN 250/300V

Issue: By mistake, I ordered Two Vamo kits that comes with the Euro power cords. ( H E R E )

Didn't notice this mistake until after it had already shipped, so it was to late to cancel the order. Instead of returning the entire order, and having pay a big shipping cost... I purchased 2 US Power Cords from fasttech. They are supposed to be the power cords that would come with the US kit. But I'm not so sure they sent me the correct cords. Afraid it may catch the Nitecore i2 and Panasonic batteries on fire, or cause a malfunction IF they are not the correct cables.

you have a nitecore charger?

the US power cord looks to be just a dumb cord that you could get for a buck at radio shack. i have radios and stuff that use that connection.

if i'm correct, that means either
a) the nitecore detects US 110 volts or Euro 220 and adjusts accordingly, or
b) the nitecore box is what comes in US or Euro versions

I just bought a Nitecore i4 and my cord has that writing on it. It's about as thick as a shoelace. Seems pretty low quality, but as long as it gets the power to the charger without burning down the house, I'm ok with it.

So in a nutshell, I'm pretty sure you got the right cord this time.

Thanks JR. Appreciate it. Yep, a shoelace describes the thickness of it accurately. I did monitor it while using it to charge with the Nitecore i2. The Nitecore does get really warm, but when the 3 yellow lights turn solid... it cools off and gets cold. The i4 will probably do the same thing. Will have to PM me about how it goes with your kit.

Here's a picture of the Nitecore i2 I got with the Vamo Euro kit. I believe they are the same as the US kit, and the only difference is the actual wall plugin. It's either for US, or it's for European wall outlets.

yeh my I2 has the same label. my I4 has the same label only bigger.

it's pretty clear from the label(s) that dibrs was correct. any cord from Radio Shack or anywhere that has the same connector to the box will work. the box itself takes care of the voltage adjustment. if you have a 10 year old boombox it probably has the same cord and will work fine
