Hi guys, I'm thinking about purchasing a Vamo V2, love the ohm meter love the variable watts and volts. Just love everything about it!

So i was wondering the 18650's do they need to be flats or nipples and will i be better off getting the 18350's so i can have short version or long version and do these need to be flats or nipples. Thanks!

I have both flat top and nipple top 18650s both work just fine in my v2 vamo. I personally prefer the longer battery life of one 18650 over one 18350. I do not trust stacking batterys. I have read too many warnings here on ECF to stack batterys comfortably.

IW IMR 18650s are VERY nice batterys in the vamo.

I have a 350 and 2 650s. All 3 have nipples and they work wonderfully. I've seen people mention on ECF that they have flat batts that work just fine too though. Apparently the V2 has a better spring than the older ones, so it's not really an issue. I just like the nipple ones since it's "idiot proof" (read: don't accidentally insert backwards). I'm unsure whether the VAMO has reverse polarity protection, but I know some mods can be seriously damaged by this...

lmao, that made me chuckle @ the idiot proof.

are the batteries okay to be protected or will this increase the size and make it not fit in the tube itself ?

The Vamo has built-in protection and won't work with protected batteries. It's designed for safer chemistry batteries.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1354800]

EDIT: It does, it just doesnt say it on that package if you look on just the tube description it says it can :D

yes it does but if it was me I would go with this kit

it is worth the extra money for QUALITY charger and batterys

Balls, I already ordered the one with the different charger, i think the batteries are the same in both packages. When it arrives i'll buy a new charger. I also sneaked a cheap RBA in there, never ever tried dripping but i do rebuild my ProTank and EVOD, love doing it this is why i want the vamo because i rebuild alot, and dripping is ment to be good but something about the TH is alot stronger ? might have to dilute my DIY xD

The NItecore chargers the i2 or i4 are fantastic and cut the charging time of my batterys in half over the charger that comes with your kit.

I have an octopus rebuildable dripping atty. Quite honestly I never liked dripping until I got the Octo. 10-12 drops at a time means I am not dripping near so often. You might or might not end up lowering your nic levels. I didn't have to with the octo but I did with my AGA-T2s (rebuildable tank system).

I am not a huge huge fan of in your face TH. I find with the dripper it just depends on the flavor how hard it kicks you.

Yeah mate, that's why i just brought a cheap as chips one, i think it was $4 or something so you can't really go wrong for something to just try to see if you will enjoy it. I didn't really wanna spend like the $15-20 that some are. Its a thing i'm going to do at home, just for when i need that nic I can just drop a few and get that hit. Same with the Vamo its going to be a at home type thing i cant imagine carrying it around unless i think im going to get mugged and bop someone in the head with it haha, I noticed your err picture there. Take it your US server and a druid. I play also but gametime has ran out im on EU, 90 F Mage, 90 F DK, and leveling a rouge :)
Waiting for my free week when blizz feel like giving it out to get back into it haha!

More than 7 years in WoW
Other than the hunter I almost always run Heals or tank

These days I am in LOTRO more though. Just a nicer community and no subscription required.

I am actually considering having a custom phiniac tank done with a bear on it and the words "Druid Tank"

Nice man a custom tank! That would be pretty sweet man those things look pretty sweet too :)

I have not quite got the years you have in WoW, only 2 here. play the mage the most, love the DPS in BG's dropping frost bombs, ring of frost and orb. lovely stuff. I heard latest patch is more towards that shammys ? Don't know if this is true or not, Im hit and miss with MMO's now, ive been through too many. I started on Perfect World Int for about 5 years and dumped about £3k into it. Its a heavy PvPpay to win game. I not long ago checked how much i was cash shopping...I thought, this isn't good. Now im stuck with a few chars ive spent £3k on and for what ? the server to die eventually becuase i cant sell the characters they'll just get banned...I was stupid to spend that amount, to put it in perspective to fully refine a piece of gear is £200 then to add gem/stones for the top ones they are $50 and they can hold 4 then its about £150 for the gear item itself so, you can imagine, I played Rift got top gears at the time for my assassin and capped level in about a month, no end game so that was a disappointment for me. Didnt really feel anything for the game when i capped. WoW is just great its my favorite, just cant go wrong its a good game and you dont need a brilliant PC to play it and the community is alright, not the best alot of people who will troll and ..... at one another. LOTRO never played :D
