VAMO V2 Black - Still Worth Anything?

I'm considering selling my black VAMO v2, perfect condition, and was wondering if these are still worth anything in the classifieds?

I know we can't make appraisal threads, or feelers in the classifieds, so I thought I would ask here and maybe get a discussion going for anyone contemplating v2/v3.

I'd might be able to toss in an AGA-T and or DID clone (metal) if it would help seal a deal. Just not sure if these are worth taking the time to try and sell now with the V3's out there, and (V4 coming soon).

I like it, and it works great, but it's just so big and I feel like all it's really been for me is a Ohm's checker, so I feel someone else might be able to put it to better use than I have.

I could always use a backup for my VAMO. Some people prefer the aesthetics of the V2 as opposed to the V3. The only problem that I see is that you can get a new one from Fasttech for ~$30. If you think it would be worth the time and effort to post in the classifieds, go right ahead. Maybe a new Vaper is looking for a VAMO, but doesn't want to shell out the money for a new one. Worst case scenario, You could always PIF to someone who may be interested in vaping, but doesn't have the money to spend on an APV right now.

Or you could always give it to me..... I accept donations. (Seriously, I do!)

I think the main reason I considered this is because I REALLY need some money, cash is always way too tight for me so I was looking around at things I could maybe sell to scrounge up some vapor fundage.

v4 is coming out soon too, geek mention it here at FastTech, so that isn't going to help me much either. I haven't seen users discussing this at all yet though, maybe no one has noticed his comment (and maybe he's the only one that's leaked any info about it?)

I've been eyeballing the K100, so that's what got me thinking and maybe $20-25 for the Vamo could get me there. But the RTS issue this week has me wanting to get another order for Nic in as soon as I can too, and I'm more worried about that actually so I think I'll probably skip the K100 for a while until I get some more Nic put away.

Sounds like I'm not going to get much, but really I didn't expect all that much anyway, just hoping to get around 25 maybe, could settle for a little less if I had to. Thanks again for your thoughts, I'll mull it over and decide what to do. Maybe I can toss in some items and get closer to $25-35 as a bundle.

I didn't see anything there about a v4. Only that the v3 will be discontinued. I expect we might see a v2 with a removable top cap in the future.

I just sold mine with three imr batteries for 40$, could have got 50, but I sold it to a good member cheaper. Mine was SS.

i just bought a SS V2 with generic IMR 18350s & a generic charger for $40/shipped on ecf classies
I bought it to use while I wait for my SS V2 w/Pannies & Nitecore from Fast Tech
I'm careful watching for a green light on the charger and don't stack the 350s
I vape at 7.5-8w so no need to stack
Good deal for $40 - I'll decide whether to keep the used one for a back-up or sell it on later

This is a helluvagood upgrade from eGos and I'm thrilled to the gills

The V3s are fugly (imo) and since yours is in perfect condition it's ready for a JWrap

Put it in the classies if you don't want it - someone'll buy it or make you an offer


EDIT - I wanted a V2 and fast. Fast Tech takes 10 days so you could get lucky and someone else might want one and fast. I was lucky enough to have some extra dough (broke again now). Chances are, on such a popular forum, that someone is looking for one and fast right now so what are you waiting for?

If they are the grey batteries, they're really ICR batteries.
Any more, the only 18350's I would recommend are the AW's.
They are the only ones with published specs and they only use top quality cells.

They're actually getting treated like a ......-off Diamondback and will sit in a drawer once I get the AW.

I think you'll find the Panasonics hold they're own against the AW's. Both are good batteries.

Thanks for the feedback Mowgli! I guess I just need to get off my rump and list it!

I'd love to make a package, maybe VAMO V2 and a DID Clone or something, that way I could get a little more and only have to ship once! Hopefully I can figure something out, maybe make 1-2 available options, but specify I am only selling/shipping one bundle and that is it.

I'll have to think it over how I should do it, but you're right, I need to get it listed!

I've seen Vamo V4s listed on a few sites. It's the V3's board in an SS V2 body. Saw it on a UK site or two. Just an FYI.

Thanks JR, sounds like the best thing they could do!

Maybe add some knurling bands for grip somewhere, but other than that the V2 body style was nice!
